Lost my business. I was negotiating the trade of my Sportster for a new one from the Barn. While doing so, I bought a helmet to surprise my wife, as she needed a new one. I bought a small, but found out that she needed an extra small. I tried to exchange it (never worn) when I returned to finish negotiating on the new bike. They told me "no returns on helmets". I explained it was just a size issue and I had just bought it the day before. They refused to exchange the helmet for an XS. Needless to say, they lost the sale of a new Harley over a helmet. Bad business. (I purchased a new Sportster in Iowa City and they exchanged the helmet for me)

I was on a trip from Omaha to Lake Superior and at closing all technicians were gone I rolled in because my 1k mile old HD gas cap would not release and my foot peg was not installed at the proper angle at another HD dealer so my foot was vibrating off the edge of the peg outwards.....Not only did Doug MacMillan take care of my gas cap issue by replacing it with a new one, he took the time to find the correct allen wrench to have the peg adjusted so i would be safe and as comfortable as i could be on my 1500 mile trip. Could not have been more helpful thank you Doug & Big Barn for hiring quality people.

I had my 2014 trike in for some recall work. Simple work that should have been completed in three days if not two. This Fri will be two weeks and still not done. Why are recall parts not ordered ahead of time so the parts are waiting on the bike and not the other way around?? If this had been realy nice weather I would be even more upset. Service needs to get their act together and make turn around on these recalls quick and easy for the customer they serve. Karl Smith

My husband and I went into Big Barn HD to purchase a new Street Glide. The people at Big Barn seemed to look down upon me and treat me like I was beneath them and almost seemed to mock me because I was looking at a couple of the most expensive motorcycles on the showroom floor. Even though I liked one of the bikes, I walked out because of the way they seemed to be looking down their noses at me. Too bad for them, I was prepared to write them a check for a new bike

Been past here dozens of times to & from Colorado. Decided to stop & look for a shirt. Pretty big staff in the store. Their job, evidently, is to stand around & chat with each other,. At the cash register we were asked if anyone had helped us. I said no, the groups of employees were too busy chatting. The response was a laugh and the comment "yes, that does happen, we like to chat." I think the owner could cut some staff with zero impact on sales.

I blew a rear tire on my Electra Glide about 35 miles west of Des Moines on a Saturday afternoon while en route to Denver. They were able to send out a truck & trailer to pick me up & had a technician stay later than their normal closing time in order to get me back on the road that day. Very nice people that actually seem to care. Thank you very much! You guys rock!!!

33.40 dollars to put a windshield screw in and change 2 Key Fog batteries. Screw cost .99 cents and batteries cost 3.90. also 290.95 dollar tire... mark up of 80 and 95.00 installation charge. I will definitely be back... NOT!!!!! You made the money on the tire and the labor charge. You put a screw in and batteries. Extra 28.51 for 2 minutes worth of work.

I broke down going through Des Monies. I Called the Big Barn Harley-Davidson a half hour before they closed. They set a truck with a trailer to get us. Worked after hours to fix the problem and let my wife buy a tshirt even after they were closed. And told us were we can get a hotel! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I so appreciated it! You guys rock!

I was just in over the weekend and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but I was amazed that they do not offer military discount. I have been to so many Harley Shops and this is the first one I have come across that does not offer military discount.
