Perhaps the word experience I have ever had doing a commercial loan for a client. AFCU denied the loan after 2.5 months (without the courtesy of even a phone call to myself or the borrower) for lame excuses. 1 - were not comfortable with a local borrower and out of state property (something that you don’t need 2.5 months to figure out especially when it was disclosed day one). 2 - didn’t global cash flow (not true according to 2 other underwriters and again something that should have been calculated before spending $$$$ on 3rd parties) Then, after sending out the “Dear John” letter, they had the audacity to bill my client for another $15,000 in 3rd party expenses on top of the $15,000 he paid up front (never have seen this before…very poor judgement to be spending money on 3rd parties above and beyond the deposit collected). Ultimately, it was all for the best as we got the loan done at another credit union with better rates and terms for the client. Bottom line is this - whether you are looking for a commercial loan, personal loan or any other banking needs, there are a lot of much better options out there.

Frustrating Android and IOS apps, the worst of all of my financial institutions. Security is so over the top youncannot even access your account, often. App just sits there telling you to call an 800#. But then it works on the other device. This goes back and forth. Security questions are idiotic and do not even apply to me so how can I enter answers to questions that do not apply? App deposit is horrible. It is not automated, and shows deposit depending while a person reviews the check only to call hours later asking you to write the date more clearly and resubmit. Horrible. Service inside is again, hood like. Bad and condescending. Service on the phone is actually good though again they are limited by horrible IT Dept. Overall, I seldom use this place these days as other credit unions offer so much more for free.

This is a review on the Credit Union, not the branch. I got a call asking if I made a charge at a store, i said no. They said your card has been canceled you will need to go to a branch to get a new card. Nothing about needing to file fraudulent charge paperwork. There were many more charges before that one that were also fraudulent. All totaled my account was emptied. Only when I got my statement did I see that while they may have canceled my card a week after the charges were made they did not deduct the charges from my account. I had to file the paperwork and wait for them to agree that the charges were fraudulent (the charges occurred on the other side of the country and I never travel). So, they appear to be easily hacked, and do little about it unlike B of A...

This Credit Union has reported false information to a credit bureau for 3 years. Even dealing the the head of Loss Prevention, this problem as never been completely corrected. One are of this CU does not have any idea what another department is doing. They are baffled by what is happening to us and equally baffled on how to fix it. It has been, and continues to be, a nightmare.

This place has really gone down hill. Incompetent is the only word that comes to mind. iOS app is old school, requires way to much security and most bank apps use fingerprint recognition. Online access requires a text or phone call with a password every time. These are small examples of how inconvenient the credit union is. Small inconveniences add up.

Awesome c/u. Old school. No technology which means no hacking. Just dont use their apps or website. Hours are incomvenient.
