I had an awesome experience at the Manhattan institute. I took the nurses aid class, I learned a lot, the teacher was very nice and patient with all the students, The school is really set up beautifully with student lounge area, nice size classrooms and its not overly crowded. They have a lot of equipment to learn on, the staff in the front are very helpful with anything you need. Also the school is in a great location, you can even go shopping at Macys if you get a break. I was worried about getting employed afterwards but I spoke to Renee in job placement and she really helped me a lot, we worked on my resume, she helped me set up interviews and I got hired almost right away, turns out the woman that interviewed me also attended the Manhattan Institute back in 2000. I am thinking of taking the EKG and phlebotomy class there as well, so I can further my career. if you want to better yourself and are looking for a career in the medical field then this is the school you should attend, although some of the other students are very negative and do not seem like they are really trying to learn, seems like they are just going because their parents want them to, but just stay away from the negative ones and focus on yourself.

The school was ok, you know what they say "you get what you pay for." I thought my medical biller class should of been longer. On a positive note when I complained to the teacher he gave me the owners email. To my surprise he answered me in a few hours, and offered me options including retaking the class for free. This is not really an option because I am moving to Florida and took the course in hopes of changing to a new career. I also do not think I want to be a Medical Biller after taking the class. It is to much forms and detailed work, and my vision is not good. If your vision is not good you should not take the Medical Billing class. I am 57 years old and it is hard for me to see small print. The staff was nice and my teacher really cared and took extra time to help. What I can say is that if you want a low priced school the Manhattan Institute is good, but you do not get the same amount of time as a school like Sanford Brown who teaches the class for 6 months instead of one month, but it will cost $15,000 more so as I said in the beginning "you get what you pay for". Do your research and make an educated informed decision, I rushed into the class without thinking what was best.

My entire staff of swim instructors had to be certified with EKG and we all took courses there and it was wonderful. We loved the teacher. We were all surprised at how the school was so professional after looking at some whacko reviews. I must say that some people absolutely ignorant that courses cost and that schools must cover their business costs that is why they charge tuition and try to collect from the students that are on installment plans. The school has a big rent to pay and a big payroll; and they do not advertise themselves as a free institution. I saw nothing egregious about they way they behaved fiscally. I did see a bunch of people that were fiscally irresponsible not bring the balance of their monies and overreact about the school trying to collect. I felt bad for the school. Al ot of the students were just very unrealistic about paying for their classes.

THIS SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE. THEY DO NOT TEACH MUCH MATERIAL. PAID 700$ AND DID NOT GET ANY BOOKS TO TAKE HOME. (NO TEXT BOOKS, NOTHING) ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY ! I FINISHED 3 WEEKS AGO AND HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR MY CERTIFICATE AND THEY KEEP GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER I HOPE THEY CLOSE DOWN BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL AND IS NOT ORGANIZED. AND ALSO THE FRONT DESK ARE VERY RUDE AND NOT PLEASANT AT ALL. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS COLLECT MONEY. ESPECIALLY THE PREGNANT ONE! IVE BEEN WORKING IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AS AN M.A FOR ALMOST 3 YRS AND TAKING THIS COURSE DID NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME, JUST WASTED MY TIME!!!!

This place deserves no stars. Warning you all...DO NOT GO HERE!!! I took a CNA course here and it was terrible. The "textbook" they have us was over 10 years old and had outdated information. I paid $1000 for this course and was left with more questions than answers. For the amount of money to pay for this crap four week course you think that they would have decent equipment. NOPE. Dirty equipment. Missing equipment. One of practice manaquins was missing a leg and completely falling apart. It was just a really bad experiance coming here. Do yourself a favor and find another school. Its better to spend a little more and get properly educated then saving money.

I would recommend the Manhattan Institute which is located in New York, NY, to anyone interested in pursuing a career in allied health and nursing. They offer short-term, specialized classes in Allied Health and Medical areas. This includes programs for the following types of careers: Medical billing, Phlebotomist Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistants, EKG technician, Patient Care Technicians, Medical Assistants, and Dialysis Technicians.

·Thanks to my teacher at The Manhattan Institute. My Pharmacy Technician class was very well taught, and a positive experience. The teacher is a Pharmacist and has connections at many pharmacies, he gives the students who gets 95 percent or better average names of the persons in charge of hiring at the big Pharmacies.

The phlebotomy course was very informative and fun. It was an amazing experience. I also conquered my fear of needles. The professor was very patient with us and always provided clear explainations. I look forward to taking other courses at this school.

For my phlebotomy course in Manhattan Institute , it went good. The course was for four weeks. I learned many things but I wished it would have gone deeper in teaching because it was expensive. Overall it was a good experience.

Fly by night school - you will not learn what you need to know and the teachers will tell you directly, that they do not prepare you for any type of certification.
