Ten years ago I was visiting family in New York City from California. On my second day there I tripped over a subway grate on Wall Street and broke my neck. I spent 35 days in St. Vincent Hospital and had two spinal surgeries. I had no health insurance so just the medical bills were beyond my capability to pay. Friends of friends introduced me to Gersowitz Libo & Korek. Ed Gersowitz came to my hospital room to take my statement, he told me that slip and fall cases were very hard to prove but he took my case on contingency which began a long process of many trips back to NYC to see doctors and lawyers but Ed never gave up and eventually after six years he prevailed and because of his dogged determination and his skill I was able to pay the bills and now have a secure future. To me Ed is like family and I am thankful every day that he came into my life. That is not hyperbole, even though I still have constant pain I have no financial worries and so I thank Gersowitz, Libo & Korek for standing with me during the most difficult time of my life.
