After interviewing 3 attorneys and going nowhere, I finally consulted and retained Ken Eiges on the same day. Ken is man of integrity. He has an exceptional listening quality and takes notes. I am one to ask continuous questions, which the 3 attorneys whom I had consulted with, found to be challenging; but NOT Ken. No one knows your situation better than you the client, Ken commented. So while you explain, I will carefully listen and take notes and then we can discuss. There and then, I retained Ken. During my divorce, Ken and his Partner made themselves available. Their very professional staff recognized me as soon as I called. My calls were returned within 24 hours and when Ken was unavailable, I received calls from his office--letting me know that my calls will be returned and they were returned. Even when the attorney for my husband displayed temper and unruly behavior, Ken would remind us that the parties did not hire the two attorneys to add unpleasantness to their divorce but to work in the best interest of each client, and serve the best interest of our children. Ken is an exceptional negotiator as well as a trial attorney. With all the finance involved, my divorce was not easy! When my divorce was concluded, my ex-husband commented to me, what a decent and respectful attorney Ken Eiges is.

I accompanied my aunt to meet with Attorney Ken Eiges regarding her divorce, which was going to be a fierce battle. My aunt wanted to relocate with her 2 young children back to England and their father, a New York resident, was not going to allow that to happen. I had accompanied my aunt to prior consultations with 4 other attorneys, none of whom she felt comfortable with. Ken took the time to listen and made notes as my aunt explained her case. He answered her questions and was upfront that he would represent her interests as far the law would permit. Also he never made outrageous promises as did the other attorneys with whom my aunt had previously consulted. Ken empathized with my aunt by explaining he knew this divorce proceeding would require some big decisions So he recommended that my aunt go home, think about, and call him if she had any questions. After trying to take it all in, Ken advised her to come back and so they could sit down and review any of her concerns. Today my aunt is extremely happy. She has relocated back to England with her 2 children, who were part of a bitter custody in the divorce. Yes, the children still travel between England and the US to visit with their father when they are on vacation. Through Attorney Ken Eiges, my aunt found peace after retaining his services.

I always felt that he listened to what I had to say and was always honest with me. He told me the things that could go wrong and the things that could go right. He seemed to know everyone in court and they knew him. He’s not the type of lawyer who is always screaming and arguing but in his own way he was able to get me what I needed. He negotiated an agreement for me which I was very happy with. His fees were reasonable compared to what my husband paid and I feel that I got a better deal than my husband. Eiges & Eiges represented me in my divorce procedings, and I could not have asked for better. My attorney had a wealth of knowledge about divorce procedings, not to mention the fact that he was genuinely compassionate and understanding. They were worth every penny. Divorce is not a nice process, and it can be very painful and costly, but Eiges & Eiges looked for the most cost effective way to proceed with my case.
