Be very careful if you have ach automatic withdrawal. I recently paid my loan off in full. I made each payment on time. I received correspondence in the mail that my last payment was around 45. When I checked on my account the ach amount which is more was drafted. I called and spoke to Viola Williams the cs manager because I did not agree to pay more than the loan amount and wanted a refund. I was told it takes 30 - 45 days and that it was my responsibility to cancel the ach before the final draft if the final draft amount was less than the ach amount and make payment seperately and that i had agreed to the ach amount. You can also email over proof of funds then they take 3-5 days to process and mail out the paymemt. Either way im sure im not alone and they are drafting more than the agreed loan amounts for people on ach then holding onto those funds for 30-45 days and never paying the borrower back interest on the money they over charge. Can you say class action.

Most times I have no complaints pay my car payments on time. Customer service is friendly and most times very helpful but can be lost at times. I think they may need better training. Im giving this tree stars do to the horrible online pay that never works right if you can get logged in. I went in and changed my account info then this mounth realized my payment had not came out of auto pay. I call to see why and the system had removed it. Not my fault. Regardless I was charged a ten dollar fee to make a payment even on line. This is crappy as I alway pay on time and it was not my fault. The girl I called seemed nervous and was not helpful at all. Im disappointed about this as I have not had an issue until now. I did call back and got another woman who spoke with management and they removed the fee. I never have issues with customer service but I never missed a payment or needed a hardship extension. But the online bill pay needs major work.

VERY POOR! They like to screww around with the customers. They do not want to help when trying to buy out loan. I was promised a lower interest rate then to turn around and end up with paying $5 a day just on interest. So in the year I had my loan I only paid $200 towards my principle. When questioned about payoff they stated they refuse to give 10 day amounts. Also who cant take a debit card account they need your actual bank information and then charge every transaction $10. Now that i have bought out my loan I am getting the run around about my title that DMV needs for my registration. They are the most worthless for customer service and hope my review detours even the most desperate person. I would have rather not had credit than to be screwed over and over with Tidewater. I will be letting the dealership of my experience as well with hopes that the next person does not have to deal with them.

Had a great experience with this company. Although I had never heard of them, and was a tad skeptical when the sales rep told me about them, my experience has been great. I applied for credit through another bank that was not able to approve me. After I was turned down, the sales rep at Regency Furniture told me that they had another option. I was approved immediately. I thought it was going to take a long time. But several seconds later I had an approval. And I was approved for more than I asked for. I was given 12 months to pay off my loan without interest. I had a minor issue with the due date about three months into the loan, repayment period. The customer service rep who assisted me was very helpful. I paid the account in full a month later. I would use this company again. They took a chance on me when other lenders would not. They were easy to deal with. I had a good experience.

WORST COMPANY EVER! After several attempts to contact their customer service about a late fee that was assessed to my account i received notice that those late fees were going to be removed because both representatives i spoke to were not able to determine the validity of said charges. Today 12/22/15 i called to pay off the account and they told me that those late fees were would not be removed. I spoke to the department manager and she also sustained the claims that her representatives would never make those sort of claims (removing the late fees). I was charged over $110.00 of late fees! I paid off the account just to make sure that i never receive a single piece of correspondence from this people. OH, and the funny thing is that my account was under direct withdrawals. This people are inept and uninformed. There is a name for companies like this, PREDATORY LENDERS!

If I could give Negative stars on this review i would. Their employees are rude, not knowledgeable and their payment system is out dated. I have never had as many issues making payments through a website or IVR system than I have had with this company. When i called for assistance, I was told that, even through their system was at fault, i still had to pay the late fee. I was contacted by a rep, whom i called 4 or 5 times, per her request, and never got an answer or a return phone call. When i finally did reach someone, all i was told was that their system didnt update my account payment info and that i still had to pay my late fee. If i ever need to have any financing done down the road and this company is the one that is offered, i will decline and take my business elsewhere.

Horrible people I give tidewater a negative infinity . I dealt with this company for over 6 months due to a manager at mattress firm opening an account by signing my name for over a thousand dollars. I faxed tidewater the paper work over and over again and they claimed they never got it. finally in March it was taken care of and my account went to 0 however now Tidewater is telling the credit place that I am late on making my payment by like 3 months I never had to make payments oh I was so mad and having this late payment on my credit not only lowered my score but it also denied me from getting a loan from my bank when I needed it TIDEWATER SUCKS

This company does not even deserve a one star! I have been dealing with this company and their attorney office for over five years! It has been a total nightmare. If you ever see this company to finance you for a car loan run! The customer service is rude and they are not willing to help you if you fall behind or short on your loan. They reported incorrectly on my credit report..they broke a settle agreement with me! When I decided to take them to court they never showed up causing me to miss work more than three times till judge said that was enough or the case would be dismissed! I have reported them to BBB! This company needs to be shut down.

They provide decent rates to individuals that are high or very high risk. Initially i received calls asking for payment after making online payment but this communication problem seems to have been fixed. If your payment is due on fri sat or sunday make your payment on thursday or they will not report your payment to bureaus. Other than that if you are getting harrassed by customer service it is probably for the same reasons you have to use a secondary lender..........lack credit worthiness. Do better and pay it on time for a change.

I was at a desperate situation when I got financing through Tidewater. Due to circumstances I used them for financing of my automobile. BIG MISTAKE. First off, the monthly statements that they send do not have a payoff balance or any kind of information as validation for payment. They harass if you are ONE day late. Very dishonest. It seems like this company is very small as I have had to deal with the same sounding people multiple times. They show no remorse for the economic situation and will not come to a compromise. BEWARE!

Voluntary repossession my ass! You received your property back and are suing me for the full amount, what??? How in Gods name is that fair? I had the car 30 days and turned it over after my bankruptcy and losing my job. Now you have a crook of a debt attorney helping you make default judgements with the court on lies? Wow I think the name fits because we as people have to brace for the tidal wave that you put our lives through! Are there any real humans working there? Evil practices destroying lives one at a time.

If I knew Rooms to Go use these people to finance their furniture.....it would still be in their store!!I have never missed a payment, I always pay more than what is due, but yet there was a glitch in their system and they want to call and harass me for information after they sent an email confirming my payment. I think the worst part is you give information through the automated system then the representative wants to confirm everything down to the nurse in the delivery room at birth....wth!

I want to thank everyone for all the reviews about this company. I am one to research a company before I have any dealings with them. I am currently in a bankruptcy that has not been discharged yet and they are offering me an auto loan. (which can be done) But I have not read one , not one single review that was positive about this company. So thank you. I am sorry you all have had such a horrible experience with Tidewater, but I will not be having any dealings with them. Good Luck everyone!

If you can avoid doing business with this lender do it at all cost. Just wait. You will be better of in the long run. The service is worse than the bottom made every payment on time even paid the 24,000 loan off early could not get them to send me proof of payoff at all worst lender out there do not call customer service it is a joke worst service ever do not use these people at all even if you have no other lenders to go with wait it out man these people are crooks and scammers.

This has been one of the worst experiences, EVER! The first few months, they are friendly, and helpful, but then they begin to call you at 8am on the day your payment is DUE, saying "Your loan is in my office, and we need to resolve this issue immediately!". Issue? ITS DUE TODAY!!!! Its great they offer a service for people who need it, but do not call at 8am on the day the payment is due acting like its late and we have done a diservice.

Absolutely horrible experience from day one! never has information that you need, never gives you the same pay off quotes, never consistent in the information provided. However one thing that has been consistent is the representatives are always rude and argumentative regardless of the situation. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy, and looking forward to not having them for my financing needs.

Wow this was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced I dont know how i ended up with this finance company. Avoid this company at all cost their methods of conducting business are harassing and inconveniente. Their agents are very unprofessional and rude. Always request to be contacted by email only. I will be contacting the business that set me up with this nightmare.

Avoid like the plague. Vague statements, seemingly random late fees, impossible to get any sort of service via phone or email, website is buggy (I had to wait until a rep called me to have a bug on the website fixed, and even then she warned me I would encounter another bug when trying to log back on). I would be better off with a mafia loan shark.

This is the most horrible finance company I have ever dealt with. I bought a couch at Rooms to Go and was assigned to this outfit. You can be sure I will never accept this company as a financing company again. Their customer service is awful. Their minimum payment for a $600 purchase is $75 a month. Not what Rooms to Go advertises.

Make DAMN sure you pay off your finance BEFORE the promotional deadline. IE.. my bill is due on the 9th of the month and the promotional deadline is on the 6th. If I wait to pay it off on the 9th, the stupid jerks steal $245.67 from me. OH HELL NO!!! I will pay this thing off in 4 months to avoid giving them A DIME!!!!!!
