The experience has, on balance been super positive, but there have been hiccups. These guys worked their tails off and more, and the final product is well above excellent. But .... Insufficient attention to dust control required that I spend a full week vacuuming and washing the walls, ceiling, all of the furniture, and worst of all, every piece of our substantial collection of paintings, antique clocks, coffee grinders and Persian carpets; and on and on and on. At the end of the day, I simply could not clean the walls and ceilings in our family and formal living room sufficiently - they are gray rather than antique white, so must empty both rooms so I can paint the ceilings in both rooms, the walls in the family room, and try to find something that will clean the curtains and wallpaper in the formal living room. Fortunately I have the experience and skills that allowed me to remove, tear down and clean the movements and cases of about a dozen early American clocks. Then there is the smoke pipe left outdoors that I must recycle, when we assured that all waste would be taken away. The bottom line is that I am conflicted as hell writing this review. Fran and his team could not have been more skilled, patient with my wife and myself, and thorough. They even slapped some roof coating onto our standing seam steel roof where rust had begun downhill from the chimneys. But they should have tented the fireplace and wood stove openings where they had to grind material away, which produce black clouds of soot and heaven knows what else, which then covered every surface in two rooms. Yes, I would hire them again in a heart beet, but we would absolutely have a very detailed conversation around dust and debris control ahead of time.

We built our home in Vermont about 15 years ago and after many Vermont seasons the chimney and roof were starting to display wear and tear. The recommendation was to get the chimney re pointed before the roof was done. I have been in the construction industry for many years and can say unequivocally business is built on your reputation through strong referrals. I used some of my industry contacts and some other referrals and all led to Chimney Savers. The choice was easy. Since we were not home when the work was being conducted we had to have trust in the company and Chimney Savers never disappointed. Everyone we dealt with were professional from the inspection to the completion, they also left the site in great shape, always a sign of true craftsman. Chimney Savers picked up our new soap stone stove at the Woodstock Stove factory, delivered it to our house, removed our old circa 1987 Hearthstone Stove, and installed the new Woodstock Stove and pipe. They did an outstanding job. We have hardwood floors in our kitchen and living room and the stoves needed to exit and enter the house through those rooms. My wife and I were very concerned about damage to the floors since we had a bad experience with a previous contractor not being careful. Frank and Josh took the extra time to lay down the necessary protection and they were very careful removing the old stove and installing the new one. They even took the time to repaint the thimble where the pipe exits the ceiling. The new stove looks great. I highly recommend this company. I plan on using them in the future for chimney cleaning.

a team of 3 came to repair our chimney. They set up quickly,were very careful not to scratch our metal roof. They all knew what they were doing and worked hard and efficiently all day long. 2 of the workers had worked together for more than a few years, but even the new guy as he called himself worked very well with the other 2 and he took directions very well, but also seemed knowledgeable about what he was doing. They were careful in the house and even outside,working around my gardens. They picked up and cleaned up before they left, and asked if we were satisfied with the job. They explained what they were doing and why. We were Very satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them. KEVIN AND ERIC AND FRAN ALL WERE EXCELLENT!

I cannot say enough about my experience with Mike, Pat and Rich who installed a 40 foot long stainless steel chimney liner for my new oil burner. Paul was timely in giving me an estimate, he called the day before to confirm, the guys were 5-10 minutes early, and did such a quick and efficient job...even on a cold morning in the snow! They made it look so easy! They were pleasant, hard working, respectful of the property and took far less time than I had anticipated. They also worked well with the oil burner guys! I asked Paul to take down an old, no longer used, chimney and repair the other. He easily convinced me the other was in very bad shape, so he should replace it. I certainly had to agree. He and his crew were very efficient, very professional, and very timely in the work, and easily showed me that all they did was necessary. All inside work was done with absolutely no dirt or damage. Gene did a great job on the interior brickwork. A very professional job at a fair price. I would hire them again.

Chimney Savers has been fantastic to work with. They have installed a chimney liner and altered the piping of a wood stove to meet insurance requirements, and their work has been excellent. I needed my chimneys restored in my victorian house. While we were at it, we added some extra flues and brought the whole 120 year-old system into the modern era while keeping the feel of the old chimneys and connections. The guys did not only a great job of rebuilding the chimneys, they also spent time with me to understand what were the best choices for the new flues. Paul came to clean my chimney in July. I found out my liner had cracks in it. At first it scared me and Paul explained everything to me. I contacted my insurance company. And today Fran and his crew arrived to install a new liner. It was done in 3 hours. Fran explained everything to me and I was very pleased. These guys were terrific. I hired them to install a liner in our chimney that services our wood stove. I made the appointment several weeks ago and was contacted again days before the appointment to confirm. They showed up exactly when they said they would. Technicians arrived on time, they were very professional, explained what they were doing, and showed me what the problem was. Although it was only a temporary fix until we get the chimney relined and weather capped, they at least got heat and hot water working again in just a few hours. Well they were on time even squeezed us in to a tight schedule. Unfortunately we are now left with an eye soar of a brick patch in our living room. 100 dollars was offered to "remedy" the problem. I would have rather paid the hundred and have it fixed well. Very sad to write this we have used them for cleaning our chimney for years at our last home.
