I will never use Rescue Rooter again after they sent an incompetent plumber to clear roots from my home’s main drain as he ended up costing me $1865.00 in damages. I switched to Rescue Rooter (after using a reputable company (Remarkable Rooter) for years) as they had a $87 special (and now in retrospect what a mistake since it ended up costing me a lot more). The last couple times (2014, 2015) worked out fine. However this year (late 2016) the guy they sent (Russell W.) made several big mistakes. He had a problem getting the clean out cap back on so he hit it very hard over and over with a wrench. I asked him is that going to break the iron pipe? He said he has been doing it for the three years he has been doing this and never had a problem. Six weeks later I happen to discover that it is leaking. The Rescue Rooter guy in his arrogance broke the cap and pipe. Myself and no other plumbers ever had a problem with it. It was now past the 30 day warranty period (note that in 2014 the warranty period was 90 days and in 2015 it was 60 days) so I called a more reliable plumber. The cost to put in a new cleanout pipe was $135 but it turns out the pipe further up from the cleanout was cracked and leaking also from the wrench banging which would be $440 to fix. In addition the clean out leaked through the drywall to an adjacent bathroom and in order to remove the sink and vanity to dry the area I needed them to replumb that at $325. At that point I just wrote a negative review here (since deleted in trying to work this out with them) and left it at that. 3 weeks later one evening the basement main drain (the one I have cleared out each year to avoid this) backed up and flooded two rooms. How could this have happened if the tree roots were cleared out? I called old reliable Remarkable Rooter to come out on an emergency basis after hours ($290). As they started working on it they hit the obstruction (tree roots) it was pretty significant and they had to work to clear it. It seems that Russell not only broke the pipe but he didn’t actually do the job he was hired to do! The next day I called disaster mitigation specialists to disinfect and professionally dry out the affected areas at a cost of $675. It was at this point I wrote to the manager of Rescue Rooter explaining the situation and asking for a total of $1187.00 reimbursement which included their visit fee, the cost to replace the clean out pipe and after hours plumber and emergency service as a result of their negligence. He came out and looked at things and then said he would refund me the cost of the visit and clean out pipe ($222) . He gave numerous reasons which essentially blamed the customer for not wanting to reimburse for the rest. I rebutted every reason he gave and although I thought I was being reasonable for only holding them responsible for $1187 out of a total of $1865, the facts and evidence of the matter are that we have lived in the house for 11 years and have someone come every 12 months to clean out the roots to avoid a flood and the catastrophe and costs that incurs. When the job is done right, they don’t have to come back and we don’t have to have someone come back again for at least 12 months. I am wondering if they reduced their warranty period to reduce their costs to cover expensive mistakes. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. A corporate representative of Rescue Rooter from another state contacted me via email and we spoke on the phone. Their formal response to the BBB of the exhaustively detailed and documented BBB complaint was baffling, so much so that I contacted the person and asked did they get all the documentation from the BBB and they responded that they did. They didn’t address my concerns in the letters about why I hold them responsible for the flood. The BBB complaint is closed as unresolved. As I stated in the intro, this is all I can do now and explain what happened and be left holding the bag for almost $2000 worth of damages.

We had an emergency plumbing situation at Adibs Rug Gallery where I manage. We phoned several plumbing companies and none were available for hours and some not till the next day. Rescue Rooter said to let them contact some of their service techs and call us back. Within a short time we received a call back and a confirmation that someone would be out within the hour. Kyler arrived in about 35 minutes and was most professional and great at explaining our options and once the work and pricing were approved he went quickly to complete it. He checked the other areas in the Gallery to assure they were all running smoothly and then shared his card and cell number to contact him directly should we have any cincerns or issues. Great company, amazing service, well trained and professional technician! Thank you!

Sunday, January 31st, we had a clogged kitchen sink. We initially called another company who promised to be here in 3 hours. Five hours later they called and said they could not make it. My husband then called Rescue Rooter and they sent Tyler to us within then hour. Tyler was very proficient and knowledgable and went right to work to fix the problem. We are so impressed with Tyler as he was very respectful to our home and took great care to protect our flooring, furnishings, and kitchen cabinets. Tyler is a great representative for your company as he is very personable with good social skills to convey the plumbing problem to us. We found him very congenial. Both Amanda and Nate were very professional. I appreciated the follow up Amanda gave by calling me and updating me on Nates situation and whereabouts. She was very pleasant and professional. When Nate arrived he got right to the problem. He was neat and orderly. He was very prepared and knew exactly what to do. I have had an ongoing problem in this home for many years. I have used various services. Rescue Rooter has been the most professional and reasonably priced. I plan on using them again in the future. We had a plugged kitchen sink right after dinner tonight and tried to snake it ourselves with no luck!! We called Rescue Rooter at 8:30 pm and Josh showed up (within the 4 hour window we were given) at 10:30 pm. He was courteous, friendly and was respectful of our home using shoe covers. He looked at the sinks, the drain clean out access in the basement and then went through the costs of his different services. He was very knowledgeable in his explanations. We chose to have it snaked out and he got right to work! He set up, unclogged the drain and cleaned up in 30 minutes! We will call Rescue Rooter again if needed and hopefully get Josh again!!

Dan was awesome to work with. told him what we had that had gone wrong. He beat the competitions bid by 400$ was happy the whole time. did not force me into a corner and make me feel like i had no other options but to get it fixed right then. I had to get approval from the owners of the property before work could be done. He was patient and was mainly focused on helping me and making sure i was taken care of. He came back promptly after i received approval and was joking around and in great spirits despite showing up on a Friday late afternoon before a 3 day holiday. He was genuinely here to help. Kyler was an answer to our prayers. We had a sink drain with a very stubborn clog. Another plumbing company had been here for two days and was unable to clear the drain and recommended extensive and very expensive repair solutions. Kyler arrived promptly. He worked efficiently and diligently to remove the clog and flush the drain. He did not quit when there was resistance in the drain but kept working steadily applying pressure until he got results. We were very happy with what he did for us. We will ALWAYS call him when we have problems in the future.

I called Rescue Rooter because my sewage ejection pump would not shut off. Randall came within an hour of my call. After a quick evaluation he gave me an estimate. I approved it and he went to work. He kept the mess contained and cleaned up after himself when the job was done. He explained why the problem occurred, what he was doing to keep it from happening again, and answered my questions. I am confident in his work and glad to have the problem resolved! The price was about $500 for about two hours of labor (no parts).

Had a main line issue, Stetson P. came in finished the job very quickly!! Tony Nava came out on a Saturday after I had made appt night before. (I had frig line leak). Rescue Rooter was only minorly higher than my regular plumber during workweek, but well worth it. Tony tried same valve as had broken; it did not work. So he tried another one and it did work but I waited til today to pull out the frig again to check for minor leak. All is good 48 hours after repair. HIGHLY recommend Tony. He was professional and sympathetic to my stress.
