I would like to provide positive feedback on the team at A.S. Our A/C went out on Sunday evening on an 18Yr old system and I decided to give A.S. a try on service call 1st thing Monday morning , so set appt. for ASAP online for the free service call ( w/ service or repair done) and followed up with call . Danielle who answered phone set up apt for 1-3PM and by 2PM Ryan (Service Tech) arrived and in short order confirmed primary problem as leaking evap. coil and he provide options for repair, but suggested based on age (almost 18Yrs Old) should consider replacement options. As I already was intending not to invest more than a possible Freon recharge in the unit, I was interested in him assisting with getting their consultant (Sales Person) over ASAP to review options , provide quotes. In the meantime I asked and paid for recharging Freon to take a shot at cooling for a couple days B4 a new system could be installed and it cooled things down . Ryan scheduled Jeff for 5-6PM and he arrived promptly 5:15 and he quickly reviewed our needs and he offered multiple options, which we selected best fit and agreed on price ( which included a discounting of both the original service fee and the Freon!!) and scheduled install for the next morning. Installers ( Juan and Samuel) arrived and got straight to work with tear-out and install , which they worked straight through to complete by 5:30 and all was checked out and working fine. This was very refreshing to have the overall response by the team members at Air Specialist to handle their jobs so efficiently and professionally in a timely manner for a new customer. I am planning ion using them for A/C service and Maintenance on both the new unit and the other existing unit I have. Also one big plus with them is that their service techs review and quote options for service, but are not the sales consultant for working to sell replacement systems. This was not the case with a competitor , who we had used for 9 Yrs , but always felt like the service tech was often trying to make a sale on a new system instead of only focusing on repair options and input on possible upgrade to be considered going forward.

We recently had to replace our two ac units unexpectedly. Air Specialist Heating & Air Conditioning sent an awesome crew over to install our two new Trane units. After the install, we encountered an issue with the drain line that was tied into the bathroom sink. The line was cold and sweating, dripping water under the sink. TJ (our sales rep) and Frank (quality control) helped us troubleshoot the problem. Frank suggested running the drain line to the outside of the house and arranged for a crew to make it happen. Replacing two ac units is a huge expenditure. You want a company that will stand behind the products they sell and service. If you want to do business with a company that values their reputations and relationship with their customers do like we did and give Air Specialist a call.

I called for a routine cleaning. The quote over the phone was $59 per unit, i have two units. However when Ryan, the technician, arrived at my house, he told me he would not sign off on the job unless I paid for extra work to a total of over $1000. I will never use Air Specialist again nor would I recommend them to anyone. In my opinion, they took advantage of the situation and extorted money from me. When I called to complain, the service manager was conveniently in a meeting without a phone and could not be bothered to talk to me. Shoddy customer service at best.

Since that time, my regular preventive maintenance and service has been exceptional. The office staff are courteous and responsive and the service persons have all been prompt, knowledgeable and professional in their work. My special thanks to Evan Svrcek! I know living in Houston, we have many choices when it comes to HVAC service. I highly recommend Air Specialist for their prompt, professional and dependable service.

Had a full HVAC system installed in 2011 by Air Specialist. They gave us a very competitive price on a Carrier system. We have carried an annual maintenance contract with them since, it ensures our 10 year warranty stays in check. The maintenance contract works wonderfully for us, the annual cost is cheaper than 2 separate check ups and we get twice a year check ups included in the cost. One afternoon in the heat of Summer we had a capacitor go out, the tech was there in a matter of hours. he replaced the part all at no cost to us.

The blower fan in the attic was making a lot of noise but the ac was still cooling. Called Air Specialist because they put in my unit several years ago. They scheduled an appointment for the next day but the blower fan motor stopped working. They came out early the next day but had to order the parts. The parts came in early the next day and the ac was fixed by noon. I had a warranty in effect so there was no cost to fix it. That was nice. It would have been nice to have them fix it the same day it broke down.

After some initially terrible customer service, Air Specialist worked to resolve problems. They said they understood the inconvenience caused and will try hard to make things right. As a result, I am updating my review from 1 to 5 stars to reflect their concern for me as a customer. They seem now to be big enough to matter but small enough to care and this makes a huge difference to the customer experience. Well done!

Ryan was a very courteous professional who arrived early, wore protective footgear in the house to avoid tracking mud, and inspected everything thoroughly. He explained various options to me (repairs, upgrades, replacements) for a very old A/C unit I have that has a bad leak. He wrote all of the details down for me, and called their office right then to make my next appointment. Great job.

It was almost 100 degrees and the house was hot. Mason arrived with a smile on his face and earlier than I expected. I sure did not mind that. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed in short order. A part had failed. Luckily he had a new part on the truck so the AC was back up and running in no time. Thank you, Mason and Air Specialist. I have always been happy with your service.

Lorenzo is fantastic. Probably the best employee they have at Air Specialist. He is so polite and very professional. He is easy to talk to and is happy to answer any questions you have about your AC unit. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and I would trust him anywhere in my home. I called and they were able to come the same day. Called before coming. He explained the pricing before he did any of the work. Got everything up and running in about half an hour. Prices seemed reasonable. Called another place and they were $89 just to come out.
