GMAC Mortgage has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had when applying for a new mortgage. This company strung us along until the end of the escrow period. Beware of this Mortgage Company and do your research. Please see the letter I sent to their Loan Processors and GMAC Customer Service: =================================================================== To Michael Krasnay & Michael Greski: RE: Loan# 687671869 Property: ___________, Los Angeles, CA, 90039 I spoke with the Affordable escrow company just right now who indicated that if you do not deliver the loan documents to Affordable Escrow by 9:30am PST (12:30PM EST), Friday, 12/3/2010, then this deal WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO GO THROUGH SUCCESFULLY. Michael Krasnay – At your request, I have already faxed you the notarized Affidavit and Hanasab Ins. will be sending the revised Property Insurance directly to your underwriter by 5:30pm tonight, 12/2/2010. If you are not able to provide these loan documents to Affordable Escrow by 9:30am PST (12:30PM EST), Friday, 12/3/2010, then we will be forced to find these funds through other banks and resources to make this deal happen. Please be warned that if this loan is not resolved by your team, then I will be consulting this matter with our Attorney to determine what legal action will be taken against involved individuals and GMAC Mortgage Company. I have saved every single document and email communication to document the incompetence demonstrated ever since this loan was handed off to the GMAC Fort Washington, Philadelphia team. With the initial 30 days of escrow period, it is very evident that your loan processor and underwriter waited till the very last minute to verify the conditions of this loan to request additional documentation; this type of service is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. This service and experience has been very difficult and nearly impossible to accomplish. In addition, your GMAC Philadelphia team has consistently provided a lack of communication and follow-up on our loan; demonstrating extremely poor customer service. If you do not take the proper action to close this loan, then I will also be forwarding this letter and all information to the Better Business Bureau, GMAC Customer Care, Director of Operations, Vice President and President of GMAC. I will do everything in my power to ensure that this matter does not rest by publishing this incompetence in all online mortgage forums, complaint boards and the Los Angeles Times. No customer should ever have to go through this type of bad experience.

I’m not the person who normal writes in but I want to say that you have made a bad experience worst then it was I found out that you have slow technology bad trained customer service and worst management. On Thursday 4/28/16 my wife was at the park with our 9 month old son when someone broke out the window in the car and stole her purse with the cheek book, debit cards, driver license. So I took off work on Friday 4/29/16 so we could go to the bank and close the account and open a new one and that evening I log on to my Ditech account to change information to the new account I picked the earliest date it showed witch was May 7, 2016 on Monday 5/2/16 I saw a pending transaction in my bank account for the mortgage payment so I called Ditech and spoke with Carol who could not see anything on her end and said it shows the 7th and the correct account I told I’m looking at it on my bank activity she said she would need to send it up and would probably get back with that day but for sure in 24 hours so on Tuesday 5/3/16 I called Ditech once more and spoke with Tamika the manger how shouldn’t even be customer service told her what was going on and that it will be rejected as it was sent to the account that is being closed and asked if they could not re try because it is costing me a total $70 with my bank and $25-$100 with yall she could not tell me the amount could not stop from re-hitting a second time and did not care. I’m seriously considering refinancing to get a new company that has their employs trained and managers who project why they are mangers.

We have had hail damage to our roof on January 9th. We contacted our insurance company and got the money to fix the roof then the trouble began! We contacted Ditech who holds our mortgage and needed to send them the paperwork from the contractor and verify that we were going to have the work done. We also had to have the check for the total repairs, $20,742 sent to them endorsed by us and they would then send us the money to pay our contractor. so far so good... We got the first 50% of the money back from Ditech to pay the contractor to start the work. The work has been done for over a month but to date we do not have the money to give the contractor his final payment. We get excuse after excuse as to why they cannot send us the money but I believe that they are holding the funds and making money on them. We are talking about over $10,000 dollars that they have had for over a month. They do not seem to be a very reputable company or are not run very well. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan!!!

This is the worst company ever!!!! Had Citi, sold to Green Tree so I ended up with Ditech. Unlucky me!!! Sold my house connected to this mortgage company, still have not received my escrow refund. Told it was mailed and if I wanted to stop payment on the first check and they would send out another but it would take 30 MORE days!! How would it have been if I had told them "I sent my mortgage payment in it must be lost in the mail, but wait 30 days and I will resend another!" We know how that would have went, Ditech would have tacked on interest plus dinged my credit. I was NEVER late paying the money I owed them and they should be just as timely returning MY MONEY to me! IF you get sold to them RUN........and please do not ever on your own chose this place to take out a loan! Your life will never be the same!

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Spoke to 3 different people who were all condescending and disrespectful. I have been with Greentree/ditech for almost 20 years and you would think that would merit a little bit of customer service and care. But they showed absolutely no care for my well being or what I was going through and in fact literally argued with me about how it was my fault and then told me that other people are in worse situations than me. Did not do one single thing to help me even when thier customer service representative failed to tell me important information that was detrimental to my situation all they did was apologize and did nothing to make it right. Will be trying to find the highest supervisor possible to let them know.

I guessed that their customer service was really bad since the woman I talked to today when I was trying to find out how much of my Escrow was for tax and how much of it went to insurance. I was given wrong information. Later I called again to try to get the correct numbers, but was told by the "representative" that I could have the figures send by mail or e-mail and I would receive it in 5 days. Does the management of Ditech realize they have a real customer service problem? Or, do they have a problem to push people to solve their problems with computers.

I called in mid February of 2016 to have my account taken off of auto-pay. On 2/29/16 I mailed a paper check . The next day. 3/1 my TD Bank was auto-debited and later that week my paper check cashed. Ditech has been horrible in rectifying my checking account and believe it or not after acknowledging their mistake and crediting me they debited my account again and caused another NSF charge to my checking account. The whole experience has been horrible and to date I still have not received the credit for the non sufficient fund charges that have been promised.

Called with a few questions. First customer service agent (Sharon in St. Charles, MO) was courteous and tried to help, but could not answer all questions . She transferred me to an "account manager", but the call was picked up by the "collections department". She suggested calling back to customer service. This call was picked up by "collections" again, as call volume for "customer service" has extreme call volume. HELP! PS When asking about my bill, payment, etc. I got different answers from every agent.

Worst company ever. Each time a made an extra payment to the principal they did not apply it correctly and they had to make me call them at least two times. They are always applying the money incorrectly making you fall behind on payments. Then you call them to ask for an explanation that how can you fall behind if you have an automatic payment and they have no answer, only that they will look into it. If you dont pay attention you will start paying late fees like crazy.

Worst experience I have every had in my entire loan experience, Loan processor rude, condescending and did not even read documents I sent. Does not communicate with any other employees involved in loan process. I had to stop the loan process because of how inefficient the loan processor was , did I mention rude? Writing to the Dept of Corporations as well. Very disappointed and actually shocked at the poor customer service.

Horrible customer service.Not the individuals fault, they are just poorly trained.They cant go beyond what they have on there computer to resolve issues.Have spent a year, plus trying to resolve issues with them and am still dealing with it.Got the attorney general involved and she got so frustrated with them she encouraged me to call there lawyer myself.Responses from Ditech take 4 months plus.

Please transfer your mortgage immediately if your mortgage is sold to this bank. They will give you the run around with over 12 calls in the last 4 months. They show no concern for any problems you are experiencing. They only ask you to continue to call back as your matter is under review. I have purchased two homes and understand how competent and professional mortgage companies behave.

Horrible company - has completely trashed whatever credit I had built up after a bankruptcy. Spent 6 years fixing it and they trashed it in a day. No response, no way to get in contact with someone other than a Customer Service rep - who is NOT helpful. My loan has been passed from Washington Mutual to GreenTree now to Ditech. I would get better service from a chimpanzee.

Awful way to conduct business!!!! I am on a business call at my company and the associates could not assist me!! I was transferred several times, spoke to both rude and incompetent people and I was even hung up on! I am absolutely livid that a financial institution would handle business this way! Shut this company down asap and re-route funds and accounts elsewhere!

I am surprised to see the negative reviews. I recently helped my parents through the mortgage process,acting as their liaison, and I have had nothing but the easiest experience and best customer service with our loan officer, Joe, at Ditech. He promptly answers calls and emails and has moved very quickly on everything to get the mortgage closed in a timely fashion.

The worst customer Service ever. I have dealt with Financial Institutions for years but this company is the worst ever. They have no idea on payoff quotes. I have called them repeatedly without getting a proper answer. They bought my mortgage from Bank of America. I am paying off my mortgage today. Good riddance!!!!!

I have mortgages with 6 other institutions and this by far is the worst one I have ever encountered. This company lost my electronic payment and harrases me on the daily basis stating that I have not made a payment after I sent them bank records and spoken with my bank representative. 0 stars if I could.

Out of all my dealing with mortgage company, this have got to be the worst experience thus far. I have always been able to set up auto pay via mortgage company and my bank. Since Ditech has taken over our loan from RCS, We have not been able to access their site to create our account or for anything else.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Hide corporte phone numbers because they know customers are unhappy just lies lies lies. The people you deal with never return phone calls you have on the refinancing. Got a better offer from another company guess I better run with it

Their customer service people can burn in hell! I called several time for an account management problem and every time they gave me a different answer. Then they told me they had to mail me a form in order to update my mortgage payment information. What a BS!
