I gave one star because I wanted to write a review. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER ************************************************************************ I have filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office and South Dakota Attorney Generals Office pertaining to your practices. Not once has Discovery Benefits provided on Company Letterhead the demands of documentation. As it should for it is your company denying the pay out. The service you offer is to our employers who KEEP unused money of the pre-tax dollar program. I am respectful of your request but you are to provide on Company letter head the reason of denial for the claim. Your company DOES not offer this each denial I have documented from your company is not on letter head a digital document maybe downloaded with NO Company letter head no employee no to back track the claim. Therefore NO legal binding proof in written format upholding you accountable for the denial of the claim nor do you ever include any documentation from the IRS. I have called the IRS in Andover MA and provided a receipt the IRS deemed acceptable for a doctors visit. Discovery Benefits denied the claim for the co-payment. I hope that Discovery Benefits must also understand that they must provide the denial on Company letter head with an employee number and department along with the appropriate guideline from the IRS. If Discovery Benefits can quote the IRS guidelines in a Google review such can be issued in a denial letter. It is very concerning as these benefits are issued by our employers and the federal government places into law to aid the tax burden. Your employees answers and lack of capabilities to provide PROPER documentation is inappropriate and unprofessional. Hopefully in 2017 Discovery Benefits will place in practice appropriate practices that should be granted to every employee that basically falls victim to your practices. These employees are entitled to hard earn money and your company has done just about everything to deny employees their hard earned money. ADP I have had the opportunity to work with over 9 years and maybe 1-3 glitches. If so proper feedback on Company letter head, information linking to the IRS laws and a contact to help me provide the documentation needed. Attached is a pic of how long I have been on hold.

Worst company ever. The company I work for uses them as their FSA provider and it has been nothing but a headache. Last year my wife and I went through an IVF where Discovery benefits paid for half the medications but denied the other half and I had to pay out of pocket. Recently they would pay for half of our appointments to our OBGYN and the other half they would deny requesting documents, after submitting documents that included everything asked for, date, amount paid, provider, and list of procedures they of course still denied it asking for more documents. They then decided to deny our $1000 hospital bill for the delivery, but covered the costs of the twins in the nursery? -- This company makes no sense. Not to mention when I tried to call them I spent 40 MINUTES waiting for someone to talk to, then they of course close at 4pm PST after which NO ONE ANSWERS!!! I will be explaining this in detail to my companies HR Dept and I hope they decide to not use Discover Benefits this next year. I will also be contacting the BBB with documents to prove what this company puts their clients through.

Absolute worst company I have every dealt with. They are essentially thieves, Discovery Benefits has asked for receipts showing what is being paid, I have submitted receipts showing what is paid and when. Even after the receipts have been submitted they still find a way to deny the claim. I had Crowns done I used $2000 of my Discovery benefits to help pay for these. There was a letter of medical necessity that was written provide medical justification for these crowns, a receipt was provided. They are still denying this claim. Crowns are listed as an approved benefit. Discovery benefits you are nothing more than a scam organization and I will petition to have my employer drop you ASAP. It is not just me that has experienced this, it is everyone I talk to. To get anything approved their is a serious fight and this terrible system ends up eating up so much of your time it is not worth it at all. DO NOT USE DISCOVERY BENEFITS EVER! I AM WARNING YOU. SERIOUSLY BAD.

My employer switched to the discovery benefits card. I signed up for the benefits card for my childcare, I elected a certain amount so I could pay for summer camp up front. when I got the card the money I elected was not debited to the card. I was told the money would only be released each time I got a paycheck. so all the money would be on the card by the end of the year. I can not roll that money over to next year because its use it or lose it. I finally accumulated enough money to pay for a week for summer camp asked the benefits card if it is accepted at the YMCA and was told yes however when I went to pay discovery declined the payment. I got stuck with the balance for the YMCA and the $75 charge by the YMCA since the card declined!!! this is the worst company ever my previous job did not have the problem with the childcare reimbursement

I have to agree with many of the reviews. Companies seeking an FSA Administrator should steer clear of this company. I have submitted receipts that have been rejected for absurd reasons, I have had payments denied, and I have had to provide medical justification for my treatments from registered medical providers - my medical conditions are no business of theirs, they should not be second guessing my provider. They try any way they can to prevent me from using my own money for medical expenses. In addition, the wait for a representative on the phone is incredibly long. If you want your employees to have a trouble-free experience using their FSA dollars then this is not the company for you.

We have decided not to enroll with them this year after enrolling the past few years. They want receipts for EVERYTHING! Which I understand, if you went to a business that Is not related to the medical industry. It never fails that things are turned down that are covered. Checked the fine print, covered, still turned down. There is no way to upload receipts as you get them, Incase 6 months down the road they get misplaced due to life happening. I.e moving and what not. Poor customer service. Poor account recovery.... Really this company just increases my need to see a doctor because of elevated blood pressure they cause....

Very frustrating process . Was told the check is in the mail for almost 3 weeks. Also told micro deposit was sent and I should contact my bank to find out what happened. My bank said they do nit show or recieve anything from them. Feel like I am getting the run around. Ask to speak to a Supervisor. He calls back a day later and that the issue of the deposit should be fixed by resubmitting info. And to wait 24 hrs. For verification deposit to activate the account. Waited again and it is still not sent to bank. Can not reach the supervisor or any supervisor, just stays with reps. I agree with the other ratings.

Absolutely the worst in customer service and the best liars. They say their calls are recorded, well I hope so as they have all lied to me about refunding my money due to telling my benefits would be exactly as was before and not a clause of changing to deductible first which has resulted in hundreds of dollars in medical bills. A supervisor is never available and their reviews are accurate. So sad for some, like myself, who rely on healthcare. Now I am stuffed out of over $620.00 and have had to call my bank to investigate. I am hiring an attorney to pull these alleged recorded calls with the facts.

This company took my money and provided no benefits. They say they paid the insurance company, but the company denies it. The company said, that it would only take one call from Discovery Benefits to activate my account. They refused! In case anyone cares, there is a form that you can fill out on the North Dakota attorney general website. That is my next move if this does not get resolved soon. You can also refute the charges with your credit card company if your claim is within two billing cycles. Just putting information out there in case anyone else is struggling with this company.

The company I work for switched to Discovery Benefits for dependent care. I can NEVER count on them to send the funds on time. I have had to pay several late fees because this company delays when the actual funds show up on the account and then they also delay when the actual funds are received in my account. This is a horrible company very inconsistent. Although they are reimbursing you they take weeks to months before you receive the money they took out of your check. Before we used Tasc and they were amazing, not sure why we changed to discovery they are not professional.

If you know that I visited a Dentist office, and you see that the office has swiped my card in that Dentist office... why or how are you not receiving the receipt? Yes... I went to the Dentist office to buy alcohol?? ugggh... For what other reason could I possibly be there. Not at all understanding why I need to take more time out of my day to scan in a receipt to send to you. What are you NOT getting from my dentist office that I have to send you the receipt. Then... under my account on the website you have it listed as being PAID. This is beginning to get irritating.

In my opinion absolutely 1000% horrible. If I ould give them negative stars I would. If you do not have to use them do not. Below I will show you how to get the most out of whatever money you put into FSA from Discovery Benefits. 1. Put money in toilet. 2. Flush said toilet 3. Pay out of pocket for whatever should be covered by Discovery Benefits FSA plan. Also, if you are an employee do not use them. It is a a waste of your money. If you are an employer avoid Discovery Benefits because your HR dept will be doing nothing but dealing with angry employees.

If I could go through any other management company for insurance I would. Unfortunately, there is too much detailed information to post about my frustrations. A short description is, no understanding of insurance policies issues to holders, no call backs, too many "teams" clients can not talk too, no communication, rude staff, no follow through, and some of the most frustrating conversations of my life. I can not express how disappointed I am. If you can avoid headaches for yourself, and for your employees please use a different company.

One of the most unprofessional companies I have dealt with in a long time. They cashed my check immediately, but here I am over a month later and my paperwork is still not at the insurance company and I am not able to fill my prescriptions or see my doctors. Every time I call it is a different story with different timelines and no help whatsoever. Avoid this company if you can help it. All I can do is hope that one day the employees I dealt with will be in my shoes and have the same lack of help I did.

They pay for your claims out of your account and then they turn around and deny the claim even though it’s been paid for already and tell you they will garnish wages if you don’t give them ridiculous information! So they are scamming people out of double money for a dr visit!! Not only did you pay the dr out of your account but they have the nerve to say they are going to take the money out of your pay again!! Do not ever sign up for this company

I have made multiple calls in the last 35 days to get my Cobra Insurance activated, I am paid up. Today I had to fork out $400+ for doctor and meds when I am paying for insurance. I bet I have spend over 8 hours on hold with your company in the last 30 days. What do I need to do to get this straighten out. What are you doing with the Cobra Premium Payments I keep sending you. This is not poor customer service, this is no customer service.

Most frustrating customer service experience. I talked to 4 representatives and no one helped. My insurance was cancelled because no one knows what they are doing or they are not doing their jobs. One representative, named Erica, said she was going to disconnect my call. They say that someone will call you back when they are available. Waiting for a call back from last week, probably busy with other frustrated clients.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Do not sign up for benefits through this company. This is a company that needs to go away. Their customer service is horrendous, and they constantly feed you lies. My wife and I have been waiting for them to transfer funds to our account for months now. They claimed they lost our fax and there was software glitch and blah blah blah blah blah. STAY AWAY.
