Do not hire Kathleen and Melissa they will be your worst nightmare... If you think your divorce is stressful wait till you hire her… They will pray on your emotions and leave you out hanging with nothing accomplish, broke and emotionally stressed. I wish I had read all these reviews before I hired her however it’s my loss your gain. If you read this review and all the other poor ratings, everyone is 100% true. She charges $$, $$$$.00 upfront and will tell you she will dedicate time and work hard. She took my money upfront for one and only one reason so she can do nothing and move on to the next prey to make more money. I signed her up to get my custody, child support, alimony and ED done. She could not get any of them done but blamed the court system for all her incompetency. She was unprepared for court dates and made several mistakes that cost me my kids. She will cancel your appointed and have no respect for your time. She was unable to defend me even with my X having no council. She left court orders incomplete delaying me to hire new council. Once she takes your money you are at her mercy. She will ask for you to write good reviews before she does anything. After 1 year and 8 months I fired her. Go hire another lawyer.

If I could give 1/5 of one star I would. If you are a lying, drug addicted, adulterer who is so desperate that you just need someone to com clean your legal “septic tank”. This is your attorney. She will cost you, however, and it will be a large up-front payment, too. Can you say, “Sell your soul to the devil?” Well, that’s about it. And if you happen to have children involved, you’ll be lucky if their lives are ever normal again after the destruction this true “pit-bull” (oh and she looks the part, too) finishes with you and your family. Some attorney’s have the ability to reason, others have the ability to slime their way through the dark crevasses on the edge of truth and lie – not really caring when they’ve crossed that line. That is Kathleen Murphy, 333 Fayetteville St. (Capital Bank Building) in Raleigh, NC.

I appreciate the work that Kathleen Murphy did for me. She counseled me through child custody mediation and negotiated a settlement for support. I paid an upfront fee for services which was welcomed after feeling nickel-and-dimed at another attorney office. The greatest benefit was that Kathleen and Melissa were always open to calls and meetings to answer our questions and concerns about the case. She even gave me her cell phone number. Kathleen was tough when we needed her to be and she calmed us down when we were mad at the counter claims. I did not get to see Kathleen in the courtroom (fortunately), but I am grateful that the matter is settled and that I knew exactly how much the attorney fees were going to cost me in advance.

Do not hire Kathleen Murphy. When you first meet her she sells herself as very organized, competent and can get the job done. In fact, once you pay her all the up-front fees, she is a completely different lawyer. She is lazy, unreliable, incompetent and unprofessional. She wears sweatpants to court. Not to mention, she cannot answer very basic questions after spending days trying to contact her. Many times she promised things and never came through. Do not waste your money, time and emotions. Find another lawyer, there are plenty out there that can do 100% better job. Trust me, my experience has been nothing but disappointing. If I were able I would not give any stars.

Kathleen and her staff are excellent at what they do! Although it may seem costly, you cannot put a price on what they can do for you, especially when children are involved. My advice would be to remain patient, and trust in what Kathleen and Melissa tell you. It may seem as if they are not attentive to your case however when it comes time for trial they are extremely prepared and ready to fight for you and will do just that. Kathleen and her staff truly care for their clients. We hired her from out of state and she was more than accommodating to us, even using Skype to communicate with us. I would highly recommend her office for services!!

Kathleen is honest. She will tell you what to do, and you need to do exactly what she says! She has kept me out of court, and helped us to negotiate the right solution for my son. She has represented me in court and she is extremely efficient. The entire office cares about your family, and if you have to go to court she will provide the intelligence, skill and most of all the backbone to get your case resolved. I am very glad Kathleen has been there for me over the last 10 years!
