There are only two things you really need from your insurance company: 1) keep you from having your insurance dropped, and 2) pick up the phone when you need them. These guys failed on both counts. The insurance company changed names and somehow I missed -- or they missed -- a payment. These guys never called to say "Hey, your payment is needed," like every other insurance company I have ever worked with. My policy lapsed -- AND I HAD TO TELL THEM!! Second, with the phone menus, press 1, press 2, etc. it was always really difficult to get someone on the phone, even when I knew someone was there. And do I need a loud, self-aggrandizing ad playing during the inevitable hold? No, and I am glad to have switched to another firm.

This spring I needed event insurance policy for a 5K we were hosting. The policy had to include a rider that covered inflatables - an item that most general event policies exclude. Marty at Charlotte Insurance did the impossible and managed to write a custom policy that covered us from top to bottom. We went into our event with complete confidence that all would be well regardless of how successful the event was. I highly recommend them. They are super knowledgeable, professional, and not at all intimidated by unusual insurance needs.
