At check-in (surgery center, outpatient) the receptionist said there was payment due before services, not an issue. My husband called me to the desk since I pay the bills. Once at the desk I asked her to explain the woman was very rude, I was told if I returned my calls all this would have been handled and she wouldn’t have to be explaining everything “again”. I stated to the woman there was no need to be snippy, my husband does not take care of the bills. The lady then said she was not snippy, I told her yeah, she had a bit of snippy she said she didn’t mean to be. (Lady had no name tag, but she was very heavy) It would have been the end of the story all was well, until the office manage felt the need to interject herself into what was going on. As the lady was setting up the payment plan and charging my benefit card I was explaining to my husband that the amount may not be anything close to what they were telling due to claims and the way they come in but others bills will total that amount. At that point what I presume to be the “office manager” interrupted me, and told me the girl did not have time for me I needed to move on. I explained to the woman I was not hindering anyone I was talking with my husband. The lady taking care of me (still typing) even explained this to the office manager. When I turned around there were two people in the waiting room, no one at the sit down desk and no other people. This was at 6:15 a.m. I asked my husband if I was being ?$itchy because I missed morning coffee but he felt we were being talked down to and scolded. He felt they did this because of our age. I felt they talked to us like that because they do not want to do any real work in the mornings. I am sending my details to CP, CEO. If you have had a bad experience with the front desk please write him. It is a shame that the employees with the least amount of technical skills can have such an impact.

Nothing to like about it. Took our 1 yr old there who had slipped learning to walk and was crying over her ankle. We sat for hours with our baby daughter crying. Finally had a doctor come in and order xrays. Two more hours go by and we are told we are being transferred to childrens mercy. When we arrive at childrens mercy my wife and I are taken by police officers and dfs to a room where we are questioned then split up. They are acusing us of child abuse because centerpoint had a diagnosis of two broken legs, a broken hip, two broken ankles and a broken femur. After 30 mins of being yelled at by police and dfs the staff at childrens mercy came in and got the dfs and officers and told them she only had a slightly sprained left ankle which would indicate a slip or trip and nothing was broken and that it had been misdiagnosed. For the past two months we have still been doing follow ups with dfs because of this and our daughter is our perfect angel that we love with all of our heart. Her mother and myself were in tears over being accused of all of this. We are the most loving parents you will ever find. Once reunited with our daughter the staff at childrens promtly appoligized for the inconvenience. We contacted the personel manager at centerpoint who told us "it is what it is and we give our diagnosis and if we dont like it too bad" . Needless to say we will NEVER EVER EVER be back to centerpoint. I would rather die a slow death than be put through the hours of anguish and now months of red tape over a slightly sprained ankle of a child learning to walk. The POOREST excuse for a hosiptal ever. I rate it negative a million stars. Dont even take your dog there. It will probably get put down only to find out it had a cold but too late.

Worst damn hospital I have ever seen. My husband was released from Research Medical Center this morning 7/7/2017 after spending a week there. He had a mild stroke and after further tests they found he has Bells Palsy. He also has Multiple Schlorocis, previous three heart attacks and a pace maker defibulator. At 10 pm I had to call an ambulance because he was having servere pain on the left of his head, blured vision, slured speach, right eye shut left side of his face drooping. After one and a half hours waiting to see a triage nurse he then had more pain on left side of his neck protrouding down his left shoulder blade and his righ arm went numb during this hour and half. At 1230 am now 7/8 2017 they did a cat scan. At 1 am they did an EKG. At 130 am we are still in the waiting room and finally after 3 hours they took his Vital signs for the first time. Its now 310 am still in waiting area.

Stay clear of this place! Knocking on a door to get someone to help you??? HELLO... this is suppose to be a EMERGENCY ROOM! Not only do you knock on the door to get help, but then you have to stand there and tell them whats wrong while everyone in the waiting room can hear what you are saying... I think they need to be re-trained in the HIPPA laws! They could care less on how you feel or how long your wait is. I actually witnessed them MAKE a man that was in a wheel chair stand up, he kept shaking is head (whispering no), but they made him do it anyway and he FELL on the floor! Not only was he laying on the floor, but they had to call others to come and get him up, but that was AFTER they called someone to bring a bed. This poor person was VERY sick and was on display for everyone in the waiting room to see! WORTHLESS hospital... Find another one...

Enter this facility at your own risk. An older gentleman was admitted after a fall, and was supposed to stay in for a simple overnight observation. At the time he was admitted he was walking, talking, cognizant, and fully aware of his surroundings, though sore from his fall. After he was admitted, the hospital staff overdosed him on dilaudid and did not monitor him appropriately after giving him the pain medication. He stopped breathing and required a ventilator for several days. The doctor attempted to blame the patient for requesting the drugs. The nurses did not monitor him after administering the drugs. A family member overheard a conversation between nurses and one mentioned that he was the 3rd patient that week who had been given an overdose of pain medication. After several days at Centerpoint, he passed away. Again, enter at your own risk.

I visited the er at centerpoint i have to say the staff was extremely rude and did not help me at all i had a fall and injured my spine i was and still am in extreme pain. The staff did not give me follow up instruction or pain relief while i was hospitalized i was screaming in pain and it took them 30 min. To give me a drug that was for muscle relaxation not pain killer i left in pain and the doc told me to buy HEROINE cause its cheaper than legal perscribed painkiller. The nurses walked out of the room while i was trying to ask questions about my well being. They did absolutely nothing for me. I would suggest never going to that er for help. Horrible experience. Also i have a huge blood bruise where they took my blood that hurts badly to the touch. Maybe it is just the night staff. I sure hope so. I will not be paying that bill.

I am not sure why my review was removed?? below is my review: I am writing this review to help those who choose to go to Centerpoint Medical Center for Physical Therapy. I went to PT at Centerpoint 8 times and they charged $14,500 to my insurance. That runs approximately $1,800 per visit which is insane. Due to the fact that I had a PT there treating me with disrespect, embarrassing me in front of the other patients, pushing me to do exercises that repeatedly put me in pain and having me do home exercises way further progressed than where I was, I chose to spend my money on Physical Therapy elsewhere. My new therapist has got me further in recovery in a less amount of time than the PT at Centerpoint and he only charges my insurance $210 per visit. Do your homework folks, Centerpoint Physical Therapy is a joke.

just took my one year old there because of a temperature, one wet diaper since ten last night, and tugging and pulling at his ears. The doctor came in and basically told me I was a bad mother. She told me NOT to give my son water, only pop (spoiled pop), to NEVER give him antibiotics, all he needed was TLC and no medicine. She told me he had viruses and did not explain or give me a name. Said he has fluid behind his ears, a red throat, and told me I was stupid for not giving him the flu shot, which is my choice. Then looked at what looks to be a skin tag & said that it was a virus that will spread all over his body, funny thing is he has had it for over 2 months and it hasnt spread yet. She was very very rude & I can say I will NOT be going back there!!

It is so encouraging to find medical staff who are extremely competent and work as a team, demonstrating skill and excellent communication. Three years ago I was hospitalized at Centerpoint with hemorrhagic stroke. They saved my life & I still see my neurologist at Centerpoint medical offices. In May my mother entered Centerpoint through the same emergency room for attention to a wound that was not healing. She is still under care of the extraordinary doctors and staff of the Advanced Wound Treatment Center at Centerpoint. Kudos to the medical professionals of Centerpoint, & to an administration that knows how to hire & train staff. But also to the cafeteria employees who have gone above & beyond.

First time here and I am not impressed. My daughter was brought in via ambulance. We were made to sit in the front lobby and then taken to a waiting room with a dozen other patients. My daughter was in obvious pain and she was made to sit in a wheel chair for the next several hours. There were also several other elderly patients in the same situation. I wad told they only move critically ill or injured patients into rooms. I was not happy in how they came out and said first and last names of patients nor how it was announced who was having what procedure done. I am certain this has to be some kind of hippaa violation.
