I wanted to wait before writing this review, as I learned early on to never write a note when angry. What we experienced with Lisa was pure disrespect and unprofessional. We are not clients of Lisa and have no desire to ever work with Lisa and her team. We will be sure to let friends, family and social media know of our experience. We filled out the contact form via her website with a brief synopsis of the situation. Lisa responded to the email and I copied and pasted her exact response: “Call me tomorrow to discuss your situation further”. That’s exactly what we did. We emailed her to schedule a time to call and she agreed to 3 PM. We promptly called at 3 PM. We started off the call by saying we were looking for a compassionate lawyer that can help us. But Lisa’s tone and attitude was indifferent, disrespectful, and condensing. It appeared we struck a nerve with her because she wanted to rush us off the phone and she rudely said “I don’t why you keep reaching out” and “I don’t do phone consultation”. We mentioned NOTHING about the case over the phone, nor were we trying to weasel a “free phone consultation”. Our call was LESS than 3 minutes long because we refused to be treated like we were seeking free legal aid. We were simply following her instructions, as Lisa did write back: “CALL ME tomorrow to discuss your situation further”. If she wanted us to come in person to discuss the situation, simply say something along the lines of “please schedule a time to come in and meet me to discuss the situation”. Do not instruct potential clients to CALL. I am happy for those helped by Lisa and her team; unfortunately, we did not experience that same helpfulness and compassion that she marketed on her website. And her last condensing email she will ever have the opportunity to send us: “I apologize YOU misunderstood the process”. And we are sorry Lisa was having a bad day. No excuse to take it out on anyone. I’m sure Lisa and her team will have some smart rebuttal. But in the end, Lisa and her team lost out on an opportunity to gain a client and ultimately a chance to help someone in hard times. We are now working with Alan Pransky and his team. This is Alan’s email response when we reached out via his website: “I think it might be better if you called to make an appointment so we can meet and talk”. And that’s what we’ll do. See the difference?

Lisa Ruggieri is a diligent professional that works hard as an advocate to help guide you through the legal system. UPDATE JULY 2012 Attorney Ruggieri handled my divorce in 2005. My ex has repeatedly sought to push the limits of the agreement over the past seven years. Lisa has been a source of sanity and sound judgment over this time period. Recently, my eldest graduated and my ex did not want to participate in her college education. He hired and fired three different attorneys who took his money knowing that he had to participate in college costs. Finally, Lisa offered to negotiate an agreement that would save him attorney fees (that could actually be used toward college) and bring the issue both under control and under agreement. My daughter now gets to attend college and continue her education. Through Lisa’s guidance, we came to an agreement that was in the best interest of both of the children. The children are always at the forefront of decision making. This makes Attorney Ruggieri the best choice in the beginning and whenever a new decision/agreement needs to be made post divorce.

Lisa is an outstanding divorce attorney with extraordinary legal expertise, negotiating acumen, and remarkable professionalism. Lisa and her associate, Caitlin, provided concrete, unwavering support for me from the beginning to the end. They understood my goals and came up with effective strategies to help me achieve them. SIMPLY AMAZING! The only regret I had about my experience with Attorney Ruggieri and her staff was that they were my second choice. I cannot stress enough the importance of having an advocate that has your best interest in mind. Lisa is able to step in, find the facts and do the right thing. She does not allow the stall tactics or the non-sense that can come with custody issues. She was not only an advocate for me but for the best interest of my child. Lisa is very knowledgeable and draws a strong line around defending and protecting her clients. Lisa is upfront, wants what is best for you, and knows what will and will not be accepted in Court. I worked with Lisa and her office to resolve a long overdue Custody agreement. I fully expected it to be a long drawn out experience. Upon meeting Lisa, she jumped into action and immediately drew up the appropriate paperwork, went to he courthouse the next day and the process was begun. She fully listened to my needs, and creatively drew up an agreement that met my requests, and allowed me to win my custody agreement without even having to go to court. Not only did that prevent me from having multiple hearings, it quickly and efficiently resolved the case. I also am receiving the remaining balance of my retainer!! I highly recommend Lisa to quickly and professionally handle any family court matter. The only regret I have is not working with her sooner!!
