The decision to file was extremely painful, embarrassing and stressful. Once made, I teleconferenced with a number of Boston lawyers. The more experienced and seasoned lawyers frightened me, made me even more depressed and anxious and it was pretty clear I was just another deadbeat. But then I contacted Mike Kelly who was a breath of fresh air because he actually listened to me. He didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, he told me what I needed to hear. Every couple of days he would email me information on the pros and cons to help me make the decision. He removed the shame, the mystery and the confusion – all before I even met with him. Throughout the process he didn’t push but he did nudge me along. Well I made it to a successful conclusion and although I still wish I wasn’t forced to file, I’m enormously fortunate to have found a smart, caring, honest, patient, organized and diligent lawyer.
