I used the services of Furnace World in mid-January 2017. They accomplished a Safety Inspection of 2 separate furnaces in my home. I was hoping for a better experience based on the quantity of their positive reviews; unfortunately, my experience wasn’t that great. Following are the highlights from my experience: - When the technician arrived, he started looking at the downstairs furnace and I mentioned I was selling the home and he started throwing out other things I should do…water heater check, humidifier check, full tune-up as opposed to a safety check, etc. Everything was an additional charge. I realize I’m getting upsold, but what he was saying sounded reasonable, so I said OK. Then he immediately seems annoyed by all the extra things he has to do and says he’ll have to check with the main office to see if I need rescheduled to another appointment. You just sold me extra services…good job…don’t be annoyed that you were successful! So, he calls the main office up and I’m in the room and, in an exasperated tone, he’s mentioning all the extra services he needs to do. I can clearly hear the owner on the phone also frustrated, “I e-mailed and talked to this guy…blah blah blah” and starts trash talking…really?!?! He got to his phone volume, but not in time to prevent a really bad impression. - Part of the miscommunication here was that I’m not an expert on furnaces. I thought the furnaces would be cleaned as well because the service I signed up for states, “polish the flame sensor (which when dirty is a common reason a furnace will fail to ignite).” I thought the furnace would be cleaned based on that, but apparently, that’s a different service. Another miscommunication that led to this whole situation was the fact that I had two furnaces in the house and I didn’t realize that I needed to tell them about each one. Ok…I’ll own that. Was I at zero fault here…no…but I’m not the furnace expert…that’s why I hire furnace experts. The attitudes and demeanors that followed were just unprofessional and not warranted though. - The technician finds a gas leak on the downstairs furnace and charges the fee to fix that and then proceeds to the upstairs furnace. The upstairs furnace is a pain. It’s in the attic and difficult to navigate to. I feel for the guy. But…he’s up their cursing at the thing and muttering and clearly frustrated…loud enough that I could hear it outside of the attic. Don’t do that…just don’t…it’s not professional. - So I have to leave at this point. When scheduling I’d mentioned that I had a hard stop at a certain time and when they scheduled the two hour window I let them know that if it were closer to the start of that window there wouldn’t be a problem, if it were near the end we’d run out of time. I was told it shouldn’t be a problem…well…it was. I leave and he’s still doing the upstairs furnace. I get a call right away that the same part has a gas leak in the upstairs furnace but for that furnace (same part, same model, same everything) it’s going to cost 4 times as much. I’m told that there was a lot more labor in swapping that one out, but when I looked later it’s in the exact same spot at the front that the downstairs one was. I felt like the price hopped by a multiple of 4 only because I had to leave. Overall, I felt like this was probably a great company that was having a bad day. I don’t know. I cannot recommend their services though based on my experience. I had tentatively scheduled another Safety/Inspection on another house with them, but won’t be following through with that. I’ll be seeking out another provider.

Furnace World is simply fantastic! I found them after doing some research online. They had decent reviews, but so did other companies. What sold me out of the gate was the lightning-quick response I received from Lisa (owner and CEO) when I sent a quote request via their website. Lisa was pleasant and professional; she gave me a quote and booked/confirmed the appointment via email, which was perfect for me. Something that amazed me is that she gave me a firm appointment instead of an appointment window. Who does that?! Furnace World does! She gave me the name of the person who would do the work and told me that person would give me a call when he was on his way. Sure enough, I got a call around 7:40 this morning from Bob and he showed up exactly on-time a few minutes later. Bob took the time to show me the key functions of my furnace, which no one had done before. He also pointed out a couple of things that the previous company had missed consistently in the past when they conducted their annual checks. The final part of the service call included checking the vent at the back of the house. Bob noted that I needed to be sure to clear snow from the vent which no one else had told me (not the installer and not the company that has serviced the furnace for the past few years). On the way back into the house, Bob stopped and said that he smelled gas by an old built-in barbecue grill in my back yard. I’ve known it’s been a problem for years but never knew who to call to fix it. He said that was something he could take care of (shut off the gas to it from inside the house and remove the grill). I was so excited! Had I known there was such an easy solution, I would have taken care of it ages ago. I plan to use Furnace World for all my HVAC needs going forward. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism and dedication to making sure their customers are happy.

What a breath of fresh air. My knowledge level of my furnace was bar none and I couldnt figure out what we were doing with it. George came out to do a tune up for us. He took the time to teach us numerous ways to troubleshoot it and continually maintaine it. He even took the time to act as a consultant with some questions around my fireplace. I am so grateful to have people like Geroge in a business that I know people can take advantage of each other. I absolutely trust him. Oh and funny that I saw balloons in his van so I asked if it was his kids birthday. Turns out it was his. There was zero sense of irritation that was my furnace was a problem child taking him away from his birthday. Instead his co workers surprise him with balloons and he is grateful for the business and being able to work with us. Highly recommend this guy.

I called Furnace World on a Saturday to find an HVAC professional to give me a second option on duct work someone else did in our home. This was a time sensitive issue because drywall was going up as we were questioning the heating. It was well spent money! Steve came to our home and did a through job of looking over the duct work and gave me his honest opinion. He explained the best way for us to fix mistakes without needing to pay him the extra weekend charge. He went above and beyond and talked with his scheduler first thing Monday morning to see if he could squeeze in the furnace check asap during the week to save us some money. We will be called him in the future for our HVAC needs!

Fantastic. The Furnace World technician George was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. We had requested a level 3 fireplace cleaning but when he arrived he determined that it only needed a level 2 and reduced the cost accordingly. He fixed several issues and now our fireplace looks immaculate and is safe for us to use. He was also very nice which is so pleasant. I will never call anybody but Furnace World for furnace/fireplace/water heater or anything else these guys work on.

I had them replace a 40 year old furnace with a new furnace and air conditioner. They put together a proposal that had three options that could be mixed and matched. We found a combination that worked for us. They showed up on time and even found and fixed another problem that I had with my dryer vent. They had excellent follow up and when the inspectors came to look at the work both had nothing but good things to say about the job they had done. I would highly recommend them.

Furnace World is an excellent company to hire. I needed my fireplace cleaned/inspected/serviced and Steve was awesome. I had hired another HVAC company a year before but was unsatisfied with their work. Steve arrived on time, was very respectful of our home, thoroughly explained the costs involved, spent over 2 hours on our fireplace and explained all the work he was doing. I highly recommend Furnace World for any furnace related work you need done.

I called furnace world and they were able to get me in the same day. The technician checked out the gas fireplace and did a safety check as well. He determined that the blower and main burner switch were in working order an there were no safety problems. The cost was $125 and that was reasonable for the work he did. I am very happy with Furnace world.
