I contacted Clear One Advantage to inquire about how their service works. After Cheyenne explained further I told her I needed more time to research into my options & asked for them NOT to pull up my information (at this point they claimed to not have been able to pull it up). After hanging up Cheyenne called back twice and the second time I answered she said they pulled up my information anyways and if I was interested in hearing more about the program. I told her I am no longer interested and she asked what will I do to ease my debts. I told her I do not wish to disclose that information but thank you for the help. Before I could finish my sentence she aggressively/sarcastically responded back "MHMM good luck" & hung up the phone. If I were to ever look into a program again I would certainly not consider ClearOne simply due to the disrespectful and rude operator. a. If a potential client asks you to NOT look into their information you should ALWAYS respect that request. b. You should teach your employees not to shame potential clients for wanting time to look into other options (now I will not even CONSIDER ClearOne). This was my first time contacting a company to inquire about debt relief services and it was an uncomfortable experience. Cheyenne came across as desperate, shady, & unprofessional which is reflective of your company.
My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and we have 4 more drafts until we are completely paid off clear one advantage. The funny thing, after we paid them off they still will be making pymts for us. I appreciate them helping me settle our credit card debts. You pay your fee to them first before your debt gets settled, in other words they get there money first. Here is the problem. Everyone in the business world knows you can write off fees and debt to get a tax credit. As usual, sorry you got cancer and your sick, but we want our money. I called and asked if they would write their fee off to help us out. I got a song and dance. So please researched all debts programs before you make your selection. Plus when we signed up with them they never mentioned their fee and to this day I still have no clue to what their percentage is. Plus, I forget to ask as well.
During a negotiation period, all payments by the debtor are made to the debt settlement company, which typically withholds payments to the creditors, even if the debtor has paid a lump sum or made payments. ONCE ALL THE DEBTORS ACCOUNTS ARE IN DEFAULT (YOU) all the due to this non-payment, the debt settlement company has leverage to force the debtor to accept a reduced lump sum payment as settlement. The DEBITOS CREDIT RATING GOES DOWN significantly due to the default, especially if the debtor was not behind on payments before the negotiation period commenced. Even though the accounts are "settled," the default appears on the DEBTORS CREDIT RECORD FOR SEEN YEARS. Nevertheless, some debtors prefer this method of debt reduction over bankruptcy.
Raphael Scott was knowledgeable and patient while I was making a decision to use Clear One Advantage Services. He called me when he said he would, and answered my questions fully. He allowed the time for me to "digest" the information without pressuring me to commit on impulse before I had all my questions answered. Since I signed the agreement yesterday, I have made calls to customer service and I appreciate how I was able to be connected with a customer service rep in under a minute or two - and my questions were answered promptly.
Terrible! I filed my cancellation paperwork before the the 3-5 day notice period, and even received an email saying my funds would not be drafted, yet they were still drafted and I incurred overdraft fees as a result! Very shady. The reason for the poor review, is more in relation to the customer service. I called the number provided to cancel numerous times, and when I finally reached someone, I was told they were not in fact the person to contact, and that the right person would contact ME. I never received that call.
Glad I opened an Acc 2 weeks ago & assigned a payment date of 9.7.17; yet hurricane Irma came our way. I called 3 times & emailed to change payment date to 9.17 or 9.22nd. No response yet I have received phone calls & emails everyday asking for the payment. I responded with "if you are not able move my payment date then please close my account. No response!
We started with Clear One Advantage in December 2013. We are coming up on completion of paying off our debts in September 2017. They have helped us pay off what we owe. Everyone was courteous, professional and eager to work with us to help us. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help in organizing and paying off debts in record time.
Worst company I ever dealt with. The company put me into bankruptcy. After a year I only had 1 paid off. Every time I turn around they were asking for more money to settle on a new debt. Dont join if you are in the Military or have a clearance. Also if you have a lot of debt this type of program is not for you. Bankruptcy is better option.
I have had a very positive experience with Clear One Advantage. Customer service representatives have been professional and friendly. I would not have had the time or the skills necessary to negotiate these settlements myself. I have been with them for about one year and I feel that I am making steady progress towards becoming debt-free.
DONT DO IT!!! It was a horrible experience! They do nothing for you but take your money!!!! Research all companies before. Their estimates they give you of pay off is totally lucrative and will never happen they they will send you to 4 other companies to deal with your accounts!
The agents helped me out so much, everything was so easy, they explained everything to me. I had no problem understanding and asking questions. All my questions were answered. I would recommend Clear one to all my friends and family. Thank you again Clear one.
