The night I was arrested while I was in the waiting room I was waiting, saw an Ad for Price Benowitz, LLP. When I got home I researched the office got in touch with Criminal Defense Attorney Nicole Naum. I was happy that I was able to speak with a woman who could see my perspective. She made me feel comfortable and didn’t confuse my any legal jargon. I also felt her fees where feasible and being that I am a mother and I have kids I was glad to know that she offered me a payment plan. She was communicative throughout and let me know what steps were being taken. Once my court date arrived we met prior to the court time and discussed what may or may not happen. She met with the Commonwealth Attorney’s and then let me know that they wanted to proceed with a lesser charge of drunk in public as opposed to an Assault charge. She stated that it was a misdemeanor 4 and a fifty dollar fine. I could take the lesser charge or go to trial right then and there. I was nervous as to the outcome of going to trial but also did not want to take a charge of any kind. I decided to go to trial and during the process she was very helpful. As in she told me where I needed to be and asked if I wanted to testify and was I comfortable. She made my case look easy. Even though I know it was not as the Commonwealth Attorneys were definitely trying to make an example out of my situation. In the end she won, I was found not guilty. She was very knowledgeable and noted the facts. She did not let or allow the Commonwealth to turn the situation into anything more than what facts were presented. I am very happy that she was my attorney. I was comfortable with her throughout the entire process. I would if ever needed call for her services again and I will recommend her to any that I hear may need her area of services.

In the beginning I searched around and read different websites about attorneys, and I read Nicole’s profile and her recent award for being a good attorney. I called and spoke to someone at her firm, and they put me in contact with Nicole within minutes. I was really shaken about my allegations, and when I spoke to Nicole and it felt like she understood. She gave me a lot of good advice, and really put me at ease about my situation. She connected well with me and personality, and she really figured out my situation fast. I spoke with Nicole about my case, and she seemed very confident about my case. I decided to hire her almost immediately as she seemed to have a firm grasp of my charges and what could be done. I did a plethora of research before hiring her, and I found so much information about her practice online. I knew I was making a good decision hiring her. I was facing false charges in Prince William County, and I wanted to fight this all the way – to Trial. Nicole explained everything to a T. The Judge said that since Nicole went into such details, and that the officer could not respond adequately to the details, that I was NOT GUILTY. I was so happy and thankful! Nicole did everything she could to have my back and to prove I didn’t do anything wrong. Nicole was worth the investment in my future! Not everyone completely beats a DUI – but with Nicole I did.

In early 2013 I was unfairly and unjustly incarcerated for a false positive urine screen of LSD by Manassas Probation & Parole. I had been taking Fentanyl patches for an accident that had occurred the previous year which was causing the false drug screens. Nicole Naum not only handled my case but she also subpoenaed a professional toxicologist to testify on my behalf in turn getting the cases against me dismissed. Nicole went above and beyond the "call of duty" and displayed the type of loving care (when handling my case) that one would expect from a family member or close friend. She also helped me beat a DUI and got the charge dropped to a reckless driving. I would recommend her to anyone in the state of Virginia that needed legal representation. Her professionalism and understanding of the law is far superior to that of her peers (in my experience) and I would not trust another attorney with my freedom or my finances. Everyday I wake-up I am grateful for the remarkable work that she did and if it were not for her expertise and dedication I would most likely still be incarcerated to this day.
