I wanted to purchase auto insurance and gave them a call. During the first interaction where there was no talk of payment, the agent explained the various discounts that were applicable to my case. However, when the time came to make the payment, he "forgot" to mention that he needed my bank account number to set up for auto-pay when I was paying by credit card. While the agent said it did not matter as I was paying in full for the 6 months, i did not appreciate the fact of a company holding my bank account details to withdraw money automatically. It would not have been an issue if it was disclosed before. I did not do the business with them.
