They were a good locally owned credit union. Until a year ago they sold to a Virginia based credit union called Chartway. Since then the values instilled by a "credit union" have gone out the window. They tack on fees to EVERYTHING. They are impossible to work with, and when you need to contact anyone from the Virginia office, GOOD LUCK! I have had an account with them for 25 years, and now finding myself moving everything to another institution.

Time to switch to America First or Mountain America. Chartway is the worst. Just spent an hour with "customer service" being sent from one incompetent worker to another. No one could answer my questions about a phony charge they assigned. If there had been a no stars review option I would have chosen it. 1 star is overly generous.

I wish I had a better experience, as I like to support the smaller local businesses. They have been a nightmare to work with. We were given an account number when we did an auto loan with them, but apparently it is for a separate account that was set up? Fail Heritage West

After Chartway bought out our credit union we left because of the fees, un-experienced employees, and their service. Too bad HeritageWest we were with you for 28 years.
