Closed on our house in 2011. Select Title said our title was free and clear. A month after we closed the city told us there was a notice of non-compliance on our property and our title was not clear. We could not do anything with our home. . Build, sell or even get a business license. We contacted the owner of this company (Wendy Wilson) to help resolve the issue because they are the ones that missed this problem on our title. Once she found out the cost to fix these issues, which is $40,000+, she stopped helping us. She gave us the run around for about a year blaming her employees for the negligence. We met with her twice and she made us feel comfortable this issue would get resolved. Nothing has happened for 4 year and we are continuing to fight with a layer to get this fixed with the city and Select Title. Oh and our policy states that this issue is covered by them but they refuse to take any accountably. Shame on them.
