Attempted to initially obtain an auto loan, but did not use them as they had more stipulations than other credit unions and banks. I left my savings account open with them, had $5 in it, thinking I could potentially use them in the future for another loan. However, the other day I got a letter in the email stating my savings account had a zero balance. When I called, they said they impose a $5 monthly service fee on savings account if you have less than $100. I have used credit unions for close to 20 years - never ONCE have I had any other credit union treat customers like one of the Big Banks would. Go ahead, keep my $5; I will be sure to NOT use them in the future. I always preferred credit unions as they did not have all of the silly fees trying to gouge their customers. Apparently EECU never got that memo. By the way, USAA had drastically better rates when I obtained a loan from them.

Brian P. from the Watauga location is probably the best banker I have ever worked with. He was very professional, and knowledgeable, as well as friendly. He helped me so much and it really felt like he cared about my situation. Most of my experience with banks makes me feel like just another number, but he took the time to listen to my questions and answer them thoroughly, while helping me make some important decisions regarding my finances.
