My husband and I received a random collection call from this agency regarding a purported failure to pay a lease agreement for a lease 14 hours away from where we live. I am an corporate litigation attorney who has handled several real estate and foreclosure matters, so I initially understood this could be an instance of mistaken identity given the search engines for locating individuals. However, I have NEVER been treated as disrespectfully as this agency treated me. The woman emphatically told me that it was not an instance of mistaken identity because our address matched that on their file. I calmly requested documentation of the underlying bill, which they refused to provide. When I told them I was uncomfortable divulging personal information, they told me that they were noting the account as a refusal to provide any documentation and evidence and refusal to pay. They told me that they already dinged our credit, and that they would continue to do so until we paid. The woman i spoke with repeatedly cut me off and would not allow me to speak more than 2-3 words at a time, repeatedly placed me on hold while i was speaking, accused me of being combative and uncooperative, refused to allow me to speak with a manager, refused to provide me any documentation of the underlying bill, and refused to provide me with a tape of the call, which they informed me they were recording solely for "quality assurance" but not for litigation purposes. She then proceeded to hang up on me. I ended up having to contact the apartment complex, who assured me that they had no such collection action against a person with our name. Luckily, the apartment complex was able to provide us with documentation from Pro Collect that the agency is no longer pursuing this claim. They admitted it was not their first problem with Pro Collect and that they needed to find a new collections agency. In sum, if you are looking to hire Pro Collect as a collection agency, look elsewhere.

TODAY, THE VERY 1ST TIME I’VE EVEN SPOKEN with anyone regarding this debt, I was asked to pay in full. This is not feasible by 90% of the population who works for a living and unrealistic. I offered to pay the debt within 45 days at which time Ms. Shaw, proceeded to end the conversation reminding me collections will continue. She spoke over me when I tried to find a way to resolve this matter after today. She was not interested and became even more ill-mannered with her conclusion that I am “JUST CHOOSING NOT TO PAY”. Ms. Shaw is the reason this debt did not get paid, not myself, who did not have warning of such an amount to be paid on the spot. Ms. Shaw’s hostile tone was unwarranted as I was cooperative in receiving the information she was providing to me. It was outright offensive as, AGAIN , this was our VERY 1ST CONVERSATION REGARDING THIS DEBT. Representatives like Ms. Shaw should take into account how they treat the debtors they come in contact with as we are all still human alike whether there is a small debt on our credit reports or not. Customer Service and good manners go a long way.

Look I think the "Loved It"scale is a little off on the 5 star rating but come on guys they are a collections agency. I seriously doubt that all the people that have posted here have not had a reason for these people to call you, they are calling you because you failed to honor your word and pay someone for services already rendered. Sure there are 10% (A Very High figure) miscommunications but the rest of you, get off your soapbox and get over it, they are doing their job and trying to get you to honor your word that you gave at one time or another. As for why I gave 5 stars I have dealt with Mrs Robinson their and so far she has been very courteous and consistent with everything she has said, but at the same time I have done all I have agreed to do. (Pay when I said I would) The only reason I will change this review is if on 3-1-15 she fails to honor what she said she would do and TOTALLY remove the negative entries from my credit report.

What a mess, even more the supervisors!!! I won my dispute but was not given and will not give me a cancellation letter considering that it will be on my credit for 30-90 days. I paid the balance when asked too. Took me 3 rude customer services reps, 2 RUDE LYING supervisors, For me to call back and talk to Mr. Parks Whom I’ve tried to call twice, just this morning to thank him. 1) For his time. 2) For understanding my frustration level. 3) For not lying I FINALY received my paid in full letter at 9:30 this morning.. 02/27/2014. If anyone knows anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE it is Mr. Parks ext 117 if anyone needs to speak with someone and not be feed a bunch of BS!! He is your man!!! Maybe he can take the places of the two Supervisors which I’m not going to name.. PLACE.. Also to mention I never once stepped out of charter and always was polite in requesting answers..

Very rude, if I could give them lower than 1 star I would. I called just now and spoke about my balance due they offer a 50% discount but will not put you on a payment plan but for splitting it up into 2 months which in my case would be around 1800 a month. Really I am trying to pay you back for this debt however they are not working with me to pay it back. They told me it would a refusal to pay placed on my credit since I would not pay today the 1800 dollars and would call me later. I got transferred many times, and while I was talking the lady over my case would tell me hold on then be on the other line yelling at someone while I am still on the phone. I am sorry but I have never heard of someone not being able to take lower payments for a debt. Its not the payer in this case not working its the collection debt not allowing the debt to be paid off.

They offer a courtesy removal of debt if you can make a payment in 3 day, Talked to supervisor and supervisor refused to do anything about an extension of the 3 day dead line for good faith pavement but i needed more time to make the good faith payment then 3 days and that the debt would be payed in full after taxes come in within the next 2-3 weeks, the supervisor said i am refusing to pay the debt. There is no dealing with this company, if you are going through hard times they will *** over, there should be federal guidelines regarding the time frame companies must honor the courtesy removal from credit to keep these vultures from screwing over people trying to get back on their feet. This company is horrible i suggest spending 500 dollars and getting a lawyer when dealing with them.

An old apartment sent me to collections-Procollect bought it the account. At first they were not very easy to work with but once I told them I WANTED to pay and that in order for me to do so, they would need to work with me. I was finally put in touch with Ms. York and I learned that every interaction would need to be with the same person because apparently no one there communicates with each other. There were a few mishaps with actually processing the payment due to the amount but after all was said and done, I would my experience was good. My debit is cleared, I have my needed documentation and I would like to thank Ms. York for her time and help in the matter. As far as collections agencies go, this is alright. They have a job to do too......

This is the most ridiculous company I have ever come in contact with. Not only are they rude, they cant even provide the proper information needed. I have talked with multiple agents, that all have the etiquette and manors of what I would compare to a 2 year old. They hang up on you, and are very unhelpful all around. I would have no problem paying a debt that I actually owe, but the debt I so called owe is from a company i have never even heard of and when you look them up they do not even exist. I am shocked this company is still in business. One star is too much for this place, but unfortunately is required to post a review.

I called to set up an a date to pay off my collection. They lady as well as all the employees that I have talked to before was very rude. When I asked to speak to a manager, she straight up refused to allow me to communicate with one saying I had no grounds to do so. How can the website state they excellent customer service when they clearly do not. I simple wanted to know if I could have a document stating I paid my collection in full when I paid it! Very displeased makes me not want to pay them at all.

Disgusting, rude, hateful customer service. I sought them out to fix a problem from 5 years ago and Mr Tran laughed at me, cut me off repeatedly. So I asked to be transferred.. got a woman I could actually understand, Miss Shawn...not sure what is going on with her but she should leave it at home. I wanted to find a way to resolve the issue and all they wanted to say was you need to pay us now this month...and marked my account as refusal to pay. 1 star is the least i can give you i guess.

Honestly is a collection service.. I am sure not everyone they deal with are the nicest of people. I am sure a lot of them are hateful because they owe them money. Here is the thing. I spoke to two people. Ms. Hall and Ms. York. Not sure if these are real names either way they were super nice, and took care of me. Ms. York was exceptionally sweet and answered my questions and concerns and then took my payment to pay it off. If you are nice to them, they will be nice to you.

If anybody is fighting an invalid debt and has not been provided with sufficient evidence of the claims made against them, they should file complaints online at the Texas Attorney Generals Office, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and the Better Business Bureau. They are supposed to respond to each complaint in thirty days. So the more the merrier!!! Maybe if they get bombarded with complaints they will stop treating people unfairly! ;)

Wish I could give Shilvers or whatever the hell her name is a 0.000001 point. She is the most ignorant, the most rude, the most vile and an absolute sorry excuse for a human being. She should not even have a job, she gives this company a bad name. Whoever the managers are at Procollect need to fire her. She has 0 customer service, 0 ethics, and 0 regard for people. She needs to be blacklisted from getting any form of employment.

Just got off the phone with them and they said even if a check was written for my past due rent(had military orders to break lease) was written by someone else i am still somehow responsible for it (i call total BS) they are very rude and just keep trying to bullying you into agreeing to make a payment or give them your card info so they can collect the money..also stated that they didnt have the original documents.

So I called pro collect today and spoke with Ms. Ainworth. She was very polite and funny. She handled my debt with such professionalism and she even was able to get me a letter to my email telling me that my account was paid in full. I understand that bill collections is a hard job and a lot of companies like this get a bad rep. I cant speak to anyone else experience but mine was not unpleasant at all.

Sent a mail to them asking about the payment, never got response. Then called them to have somebody at least check out the mail box, "send the mail again", rude, unprofessional, helpless, and very unfriendly answer. How could a company be so unprofessional and unfriendly in customer service? I don wanna give any star, Google forces me to give at least one, so here is, the company deserve nothing.

Called me years ago and I still remember how rude they were. Had a nonchalant attitude about customer service, immediately asked for my ssn, refused to provide me of details for my outstanding debt I supposedly owe someone. And proceeded to threaten to post the charge to my credit. And I have two charges from them in the same amount. Im sure there was a duplicate file made.

RUDE,VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES...THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE...THEY HOLLER AT THEM. THEY WILL NOT EVEN DISCUSS A SETTLEMENT THEY OFFERED IN THE PAST. SAYING IT HAS EXPIRED AND YOU HAVE TO PAY THE WHOLE AMOUNT. WOULD RATHER YOU TAKE THE MONEY YOU HAVE TO SETTLE AND GO FILE BANKRUPTCY. THAT WAS TOLD TO ME. SUPERVISORS ARE NO BETTER...HOW ARE THEY IN BUSINESS???
