Your owner asked me to expand on my previous review. This was not a good idea as I wanted people to form an opinion based on all of the other reviews. Here is my experience: I contracted in 2015 to have Christmas lights put up in my house. The sales person that showed up, Randy Green, I believe was his name, put an estimate together ($2400 and change) which was pricey but I need it done so I approved it. I handed him a check for the amount due. He did not include three of the columns and and a tree in the estimate. Upon realizing the mistake, I called them and agreed with JC, the guy in charge, that they will do the columns and tree if I paid for the extra lights which I did. The installation occurred on the scheduled date. The first date the lights worked. The next day, half the display was not working. The issue: the crew put staples through several of the cables in different places and this short circuited the lights. Fixed by removing the staples. Several days later the display failed again and this time some of the lights inside the house. Reason: the size of the display and the bulbs used pulled to much power for the 80 amps fuse servicing the plugs that the display was connected to. I asked JC, the manager, if they do a load balance test of the electric system before installing. His answer in writing: "This is the home owner responsibility." After numerous calls and attempts to have the problem fixed, I went the remaining of the Christmas season with half of the display working. I just made up mind never to use them again for anything. In March 206, while in a business trip, I was contacted by Sean, their branch manager, stating that I have not paid my bill. I told him that I handed two checks to his reps, Randy and JC, for $3200 and change and that I will check. I also asked him about the lousy service and to check why the checks were not submitted for payment. A few weeks later, he indicated that they were and for me to stop been a deadbeat and pay the bill. This is the total opposite of what my bank told me as the checks were never submitted for payment. Finally, they involved a lawyer as a collector and threaten to sue. I went ahead and paid the darn thing. On parting, I delivered a cashier check to their office in San Antonio, the manager there asked me about the service. I told him it was lousy. His reply: "You did receive the service.". No apology, no excuses..... This past Christmas, they send me an email to book early for Christmas Lights installation....NO SHAME.... Thus my one since I cannot give you a zero.

My husband and I been using ABC Mowing services for 10 plus yrs, the home. The home was a rental while my husband and I had to live in another state due to our work. After two tenants causing major property damage and having thousands of dollars costs which ABC were the company used to fix the issues on the property, it was suggested by Joe Williams that we have the Premier Lawn Care and would have no worries at all. We decided in May 2015 to have this worry free care. October 30 I arrived on the property after removing a tenant from the home, and was prepared for the damages inside the home, but was stunned as I walked out of the home in the yard, only to discover dead shrubs, flowers dead major grass gone, major erosion on both sides. I called the next day very upset and spoke with a Marco the manager of the service,,, He had a very bad attitude and came across of not caring, was not willing to do anything for me. After an hour or so a ABC guy showed up on the property and was even shocked himself at the condition, We did not even get basic service let alone Premier. The man took about two hows and took out 5 large bags of leaves and debris and had to come back next morning to finish taking another few bags. I myself took out over 20 bags cleaning up the 7 dead fully grown holly bushes 6 newly planted bushes by ABC in 2014 that did not even get a chance to grow. Along with dead vines on the fence.I also had to fix a new fence as a vine was let grow right through it along with removing one inch around trees that had grown under the fence. All flowers rose bushes were dead and totally gone. I was only offered 500.00 credit by Marco.. Then a head of a Lawn Care Sean offered my husband and I still only 500.00 credit towards the damage and a Premier service at a basic rate cost he said at 180.00 per month. We felt REALLY taken to the cleaners and now have to shoulder the costs caused by the non service that we paid 246.00 per month for.The cost to my husband and I has not been estimated for us , but I figure it was at least 5000 . We felt why should we continue to pay out money to a company that we no longer trust. We feel the least they could do is fix the damage caused by them. While the home was a rental, it was not the tenants responsibility to care for the yard the cost of care was paid by us.

ABC AC service made it out in about 3 or 4 hrs on a Friday after hours call, quickly identified the issue, and quickly resolved it. The service person was polite and knowledgeable. The reason for the average rating is cost and service. I was charged almost $450 (over $130 for after hours call and over $300 for part service) for what I found to be a $20 part. Having walked the service person to the AC unit I saw he identified the problem in probably less than 3 minutes (bad capacitor). Not knowing how long it might take I went back inside. In about 5-10 minutes, after he had replaced the capacitor, we could feel the AC working again. I had the strong impression there was a lot of "plus" selling going on (cleaning the outside coils in the dark with a small flashlight, asking about my inside filter that I had just changed a week or 2 before, etc) . Then I was told there was a 5 year warranty on the capacitor and labor on the capacitor would be free, but the part would be charged again. I would expect a $300 capacitor charge if I call ABC again. A few days later I called ABC to talk to a supervisor to confirm these charger and was told there is no way he could have spent less than 30 minutes on the job, and that there were current measurements, cleaning, inspection and several other tasks completed. I was also told they paid $100 for the part. I understand overhead costs, but when it hits $800/hour...that seems like a lot of costs are being passed to me.

I used ABC Home for the first time to replace a converted garages two sets of French doors leading outside with an insulate wall with three energy-efficient windows and a stone facade that matched the exiting rock; remove a billiards-style light fixture inside the room, repair the popcorn texture and replace it with a ceiling fan and light, and convert the long wood attic hatch with a smaller hatch door with pull-down ladder. We bought the house with the converted garage which we learned was no originally permitted. The bid came in exactly where we had hoped and budgeted. Ron Chestnut, our contractor, was extremely professional, honest, timely and great to work with. He is very knowledgeable of the permitting process and was able to obtain the needed permit within 3 hours of going to the permitting office. The construction process was very easy and everyone who came out was professional. All we had to do during the thing was let them inside the house. They took care of the rest. I like that everyone who worked on the house was an employee of ABC, except the mason who they said is one of the few contractors they use. They also accept credit card which made it very easy for us to proceed immediately. The end result is exactly what we had envisioned and we could not be happier with the entire experience. I highly recommend Ron and his crew at ABC for your home repair/renovation needs.

Brandon Belk {service technician} was the greatest ! The day I was to bring my wife home from the hospital {SATURDAY} the A/C went out. I called ABC and the reception was gracious, quick and helpful. Brandon Belk immediately contacted me, told me when he could diagnose the problem and kept me constantly informed as to the status of his whereabouts. He worked on my A/C, told me what the problem was and did all he could to get the A/C up and running on Saturday. Unfortunately the warehouse did not have the proper fan and we had to wait until Monday. Mr. Belk immediately fixed everything on Monday and constantly kept me in formed as to price and schedule and he met, and exceeded my expectations. Mr. Belk instilled in me a sense of extreme confidence in his character, professionalism, personal charisma, trustworthiness and technical skill. Because of Mr. Brandon Belk, I will exclusively use ABS Services for all my residential needs and do my best to make sure everyone I know how happy I am with your company and its employees.

We called ABC for attic cleaning/disinfection and duct repair. They were immediately responsive (thank you Scott Stucky), arrived when they said they would, and were completely professional. Upon discovering our problem was worse than we originally thought, Billy provided a complete repair plan and worked with us to keep the cost down. Sedjrick, Junior, and the rest of the staff that came to the home were all very informative and friendly. They even vacuumed all the carpeted areas completely prior to leaving our residence. We are so pleased with their work we have already scheduled them to come in and perform electrical repairs. I come from a construction background and can honestly say this is the best company I have worked with in this capacity. I will continue to call ABC and highly recommend them for any issues homeowners run into. Thank You, ABC.

We have used ABC Home & Commercial Services since 2006. Our bug man passed away and we started with their pest control service, which we have been very happy with. When we learned that some creatures had moved into our attic, we used their rodent control service to have it taken care of and have continued with an annual check up. When our HVAC guy passed away, we turned to ABC and have been very happy with their semi-annual service on our three units. We have used them to refresh our attic insulation and add a radiant barrier to lower our monthly bills. A couple of years ago we had them replace our two 30 year old HVAC systems, and have been very pleased with the new systems. Their service people are very consciences, efficient, and friendly.

ABC was called to repair 2 wall plugs that were not working in the same bathroom. They charged a $190 "diagnostic fee" just to "investigate" the problem and be able to tell me what they were going to charge me to repair. One plug had a loose connection and the other had to have the gfi replaced -- for an additional $140...... so, ABC charged me $330 to basically replace a couple of wall plugs. I would consider ABC a company with a reputation for making dependable repairs -- but I will take the time next time I need home repairs to find a company who has better pricing. They were on this job for a total of 45 minutes -- according to their invoice. This seems VERY expensive for the service that was done.

We had a recent problem with our AC and, typical of Austin, it was in temperatures that one might see on the surface of Mercury. We called ABC and they sent out a technician promptly- keep in mind, this was on a Saturday. Marc Dziak came out and had us back up in minutes! I was expecting some strange and expensive and incomprehensible esoteric problem, but it turned out to be a minor part that Marc assured me was a common problem on all the AC units. He then took the effort to educate me on good maintenance procedures that I could do and broke down how my overall unit was working. I know from now on who will be taking care of us in this infernal heat. Way to go!

We have been customers of ABC for over 20 years. We have been impressed with many of your employees, but Ginny is at the top of the list. She has been conscientious about solving our problem with silverfish which has been plaguing our house for over a year. Ginny has come for our last two treatments, and she decided to try something different than the usual dusting. It really was great that she thought about the problem and decided to attack it. She really thinks about what she is doing and solves the problem. You may already know what a great asset Ginny is to ABC, but we just wanted to add our experience and thanks.
