I never thought that adoption would even be a thought in my mind at this stage in my life. I was only 20 when I found out I was pregnant I totally freaked out. I thought what am I going to do? What will my boyfriend think? How will he react? After a few months we decided adoption was the right choice for us. He was in school I had no job and wanted to get my GED and go to college. Having a child to raise was not in the plan right now. I felt like a bad person not being able to take care of my baby. But as soon as I met my caseworker with Building Blocks Adoption Agency I knew I was making the right choice. Not only for me, but for my baby. I picked the family I wanted. They include me with sending photos to me all the time. They are wonderful parents and great support to me and my boyfriend now. My caseworker still contacts me to make sure I am ok, she text me often. I know I made the right decision. I am happy I chose adoption and building blocks.

My husband and I adopted from Ukraine in 2009 and have an amazing little girl! Throughout the entire adoption process BBAS was there to answer any question we had and was very quick to respond. The coordinator in Ukraine is the best in the country and is so dedicated to the work he does. Any times that we had issues or concerns they were addressed professionally, quickly and all of our needs were met by this agency. The social workers there and Denise have continued to be available to us post adoption for any questions or resources we might need. We have chosen to use this agency once again for a domestic adoption. Everyone has been a pleasure to work with and they have guided us through this process. The lawyer they have suggested for us is extremely knowledgable regarding adoption and we have no doubts that BBAS is in the adoption business for the right reasons.

Our family can not say enough good things about this organization. When my wife and I began our journey for adoption when had no idea on how to start. Building Blocks practically lead us by the hand through the entire process from start to finish. Building Blocks really does care about the families they are helping and of course the children that are being adopted Without them our family would not be complete. Our son not only brings joy and happiness to us but our entire family, friends and all of those whom he comes in contact with his teachers, coaches and friends. To this day we consider Building Blocks entire staff as our extended family. Without them our family would not be what it is today. We were so pleased with our adoption process working with Building Blocks Adoption Services, Inc. From the time our home study was finished until the time we brought our newborn baby boy home was about thirteen months. Building Blocks staff were amazing at answering questions and very responsive even many times during off hours. Our situation was a little unique in that we selected a networking agency out of state. Working through Building Blocks Adoption Services, Inc. we successfully completed the adoption process and have been blessed to have our son in our lives. My husband and I highly recommend BBAS! They helped us every step of the way with our domestic adoption! We attended one of their adoption webinars on Feb 5, 2014 and on Feb 4, 2015 we were matched with our birthmom and we brought our baby home on March 1, 2015. We had ups and downs throughout the whole process and someone at BBAS was always there for us. Denise is amazing and helped not only us through the emotional journey but our birthmom too. Had it not been for her, I am not sure if we would have our son today. Please know they truly care about the adoptive parents and the birth parents and are there for support through a journey, that when you start it, you never realize how emotional it will be.

We used BBAS through out the entire process. They guided us through every step and was very proactive with any and all issues that we encountered both in Russia and here at home. They stayed in contact with us for the four weeks we were in Russia and very caring when my wife got ill. We will be forever in their debt for completeing our family and for the continued relationship. I would recommend BBAS for anyone wanting to adapt and love a child. The adoption process can be very challenging and confusing at times, Building Blocks was always there to answer all my questions. We had two failed adoptions with another agency and the lack of communication was very hard for us to deal with. Building Blocks never let that happen. Denise and her staff even answered questions I had during the weekend and after hours. They truly care about the process and making sure that the birth family and adoptive family know exactly what they need to do. It was refreshing to know that someone was there for us at all times. We will be using them again for our next adoption in the future. I will never be able to thank them enough.

Our experience with BBAS was exceptional. The process was organized and smooth, taking about 3 months to get homestudy approved, 4 months to get matched and we had our baby girl in our arms 6 weeks after that. The process is daunting, but they walked us through all the paperwork, classes and legalities. They were patient with all of our questions and knowledgeable with answers. The support provided was unparralled. They continued to support us even after finalization, always finding the time to talk via phone or sit down face to face and help with some of the challenges of open adoption along the way. 5 Stars for BBAS! We have adopted three children with BBAS. One child from Guatemala and two children from Ethiopia. We highly recommend BBAS. They have amazing personal service, very prompt responses to questions and concerns, excellent staff here and in country, great prepartion resourses, a smooth and clearly outlined process, and they genuinely care about you and your family. We have been so happy with BBAS. They are professional, honest, and wonderful to work with. We live out of state and we were still very impressed with the personal service they provided. We had a very positive experience with Building Blocks. It took about a year for us to be matched with a birthmother and another 3 months before we met our son. Building Blocks did an excellent job of helping us through the entire process. After we were matched, they helped guide both us and our birthmother through the innumerable questions and tasks that pop up, such as the various court proceedings and hospital visits. We were very impressed with the personal attention they gave us during the birth and afterwards to make sure we were all adjusting well. We plan on using their services again for a future adoption.

My husband and I adopted two children from Guatemala. We received their referrals on the same day but because of paperwork problems in Guatemala, one came home and then one month later the other one came home. The agency went with us both times to help us with paperwork. I saw, while in Guatemala, employees of BBAS dealing with other families and that they really did care about those families and the kids. They were always available to talk with us or answer any concerns we had during the whole process. I love this agency and would definitely recommend them to our friends.

Simply placed a call to find out about home study information and was greeted with a nasty response. I simply inquired about the process and fees and when I asked what one of the fees went towards I was told "if you can find a better rate elsewhere than go right ahead". Very rude, bad customer service during an already emotional time.
