Scam of a company. I had 2 contractors come out, and one wanted to charge me $700 for 4lbs of r22, while the other was only going to charge me $250.. Its rather obvious that the first contractor was passing the cost on to the customer to come in at a lower price for AHS. They offered a cashout of $700 for a compressor... that wont even cover the cost of the compressor let alone the labor... avoid at all costs. ------> I should have stayed with first american home buyers. <----- at least they honor their warranty.
If I could give no stars, I would. Waited on hold for 30+ minutes only to be hung up on. I call back, guess what, it says my wait time is over an hour to speak to someone. All I want is to find out the status of a repair for a homeowner who does not live in the country. This is the worst experience ever, horrible customer service. Why is there no on-line chat option? Why is there no e-mail? Disgusted is an understatement. I have other things to do besides sit on hold for hours at a time.....
So my AC went out Saturday and my sister and I have been trying to at least get someone on the phone to schedule a appointment for someone to come out and take a look. She has been on the phone an hour, me 45 mins. Terrible, just terrible. Then had a nerve to send a notice stating our warranty is about to expire and we should renew. Needless to say, we will NOT be doing that. Found a nice company on craigslist that will be coming out to take care of our needs
They have been awesome. I guess you should know that they are insurance company and the people that are sent out are from local business and not employees of American Home Shield. We have had a ac unit replaced and a fridge with a 100 dollar deductible. We got the fridge just because the discontinued a part for the ice maker.. No problems, great service.
They resolve problems by being impossible to contact. Customer service number calls take longer than an hour to reach an agent... sales calls are still answered within seconds...
45min on hold any time you need to call them no matter when. Denied my claim, them approved it, then forgot about it...
They automatically raised my rate without asking me and renewed my contract with a rate hike. Not honest at all
Am glad I have AHS, just saved some serious dollar by fixing my AC this summer.
