If you are looking for a criminal defense attorney in Carteret County, Roger Crowe is hands-down the best attorney to handle your matter. One of the locals recommended Mr. Crowe to me and told me he was the best attorney in the area. With hindsight, I am so grateful that I was referred to the Crowe Law Firm. The staff was extremely friendly and did a great job of calling and sending reminders about court dates or other updates regarding my case. Because I was living three hours away from Carteret County during the time that my charges were pending, it saved me a lot of time and money knowing ahead of time that my case would be continued and I did not have to be present in court. Mr. Crowe worked diligently and was very much so dedicated to getting me the best possible outcome for my circumstances. He did everything he assured me he would do when we initially met to discuss my case. He explained each possible scenario of an outcome for my case in a manner that was down-to-earth and easy to understand. He knows a great deal about the law and stays up-to-date with new laws that are introduced or recent changes made to existing laws in order to be sure you receive the fairest results. He exhibits an obvious and passionate spirit for practicing law. His 25+ years of experience is highly evident as he is clearly a knowledgeable expert in his field. Best lawyers ever, hands down!! Not sure why there are other people saying negative things, because these guys are top notch! You get what you pay for. My husband and I were visiting relatives that were on vacation, when we were pulled over by an Indian Beach Police officer after he ran our tags..this island is horrible for bothering people for no reason. To sum it up, I carry a concealed weapon with a NC Concealed Carry Permit. My husband was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, and I was charged with failure to notify an officer in a timely manner that I had my concealed weapon. We are upstanding citizens that were minding our own business, and we were treated like we were hard core criminals when it was truly a technicality that can be interpreted different ways. We were not breaking any laws, but we were still charged. My husband was facing prison time, and I could have lost my permit and my gun. The Crowe Law firm came highly recommended, and for good reason. Roger Crowe represented my husband, and Matthew Godwin represented me. They worked hard, and both of our cases were dismissed. We live out of town, so the law firm did everything for us so we only had to come into town on the day the case was dismissed. We could not have asked to be treated better! They were up front with what we were facing, and did everything they said they would with no issues. Bottom line…these are the guys you need to hire if you get into any trouble in the county!

For people not from the area. the cops will follow you from bars force pull you over. They have done it to several people I know. Entrapment. My cop acted like a drunk maniac when he pulled me over for no reason. He came close to hitting me. With that said. Good ole boy system all the way in beaufort area. Very corrupt and they don't like outsiders. My attorney quoted its a good ole boy court system. With that said. I thought he was the worst Attorney I've ever seen and I've been to several hearings with real estate Dui matters.. Made me wait a year without getting a license to drive. Didn't even defend me took the verdict .made one opening statement. That's it. That whole system cops attorneys should be shut down and rebuilt.. I had a local guy right before me have a worst Dui than me he got out clean. I would stay clear of this attorney. I found out there a lot better ones later on. Crowe was a joke to me.

I have always relied on Roger Crowe for any of my criminal defense needs, and I absolutely would not hire any other attorney than him. When you have a criminal case against you, only the best defense will do and you will certainly find that here. Mr. Crowe has always made me feel that I was his most important client, though he always has a high volume of cases. He pays great attention to detail, and personally, I feel like his true specialty is being able to "read" people. He knows how to gauge the mood of everyone from the judge, to the DA, to the arresting officer, to the client and almost always accurately predict the outcome of the case with those as the major deciding factors. Some people may think he is pricey, but believe me, the cost of hiring him is well worth the work he puts into representing his clients. Absolutely the best defense attorney in Carteret County!
