Kevin Van Allen with Cannon & Van Allen, LLP basically saved my peace of mind. We have never had any dealings with any legal issue in NY. We recently found ourselves in a situation regarding our son. Being hundreds of miles away I have been crazy with the difference in laws in NY and IN. I finally decided to call another attorney and get a "2nd opinion". After checking with a local attorney here in Indianapolis, I was given the name and number of this firm. After calling and leaving a message with minimal information, I assumed I would not hear from anyone since there was no chance of hiring Mr. Van Allen. To my surprise Kevin Van Allen did call back and spent time listening and explaining the laws in NY. He also verified the information my son was getting from his attorney. I may not be able to change anything but I am confident that this is being handled appropriately. I have to say I was completely surprised to get a return call and when I hung up I felt much better. I had received a ticket, not being sure about the severity and associated fines; I had asked Mr. Hoffmann to look into the matter for me. Mr. Hoffmann then contacted the prosecutor, and several law enforcement agencies regarding the matter. I was relieved when he did get back to me, and told me that I could resolve the matter myself, he then went on to further explain that he felt it would not be ethical on his part to charge me for his services for such a small matter. I would recommend and use Van Allen & Hoffmann for any further needs.
