I had cause to contact American Auto at 1.06pm today 29th August 2017 to confirm cancellation of a policy sold to me less than 30 days ago after i had already emailed the original salesman involved yesterday to advise same, but had not received any form of response.The representative on the phone who refused to provide me with his name upon asking for it again at the end of the telephone conversation , citing that he would not allow me to use it when complaining of his service over the internet - i wanted his name so that i could complain about his attitude and service by taking the matter to the next senior level within his Company and he told me that he was in fact that person and i could not speak to anyone else. He also threatened me with the recording of our conversation which i was quite happy for him to do and welcomed it as anyone listening would see how he continued to talk over me and saying that even if i found it an affordability issue not to continue, the Company was making no money from me out of the policy and that there was a very real problem with the Chrysler/Dodge product and that is why i needed the policy.He never bothered to initially hear that the policy did not suit me as it would exclude me if i considered doing some work with Uber going forward and that he thought that Uber drivers had to have nice vehicles. What he was implying i do not know but it seemed that my vehicle was not good enough - he needs to be re- trained in the basics of Customer liaison and listen to the Customer before offering his biased opinions ifo his product.I therefore expect an apology for the negative service i received and expect someone from the Company to contact me about his unacceptable behaviour and to discuss the whole matter in a mature and educated manner, failing which i reserve my rights with regards to taking the whole issue to the general public at large via any media source that i deem fit.In closing, a simple acknowledgement that my cancellation was acceptable should have been the conversation i received and his product comments should have been reserved until after i had finished advising that it was not only an affordability issue but i was not prepared to pay good money to then be excluded by the policy for doing some Uber work in the future. I rest my case.

I just set up coverage on my Mercedes C300 this morning. I have been speaking with my representative, Samantha for awhile now. At first I did have some worries about the company and who I would be giving my money to, (you never know with people these days). BUT she helped me out and was very informative, she knew what she was doing and was very professional. She answered any questions I had and eased my mind on choosing which company to go with when considering protecting my car. Samantha told me American Auto is the top rated company in America and I believe it. Only the top rated companies hire the top rated employees and offer the best coverage available. I have no doubt in my mind I will love every bit of my coverage. They now have a customer for as long as I live!
