I had Erika Wentzel handle my divorce settlement in 2014. She is friendly and seems knowledgable, but makes repeated errors in the paperwork. Now in 2016 my ex-wife and I had agreed privately to drop a property settlement payment in exchange for a higher child support, and I went back to Erika to file the Motion to Modify the settlement. But when the paperwork was drawn up, an additional $380 monthly payment (that we had not wanted dropped) was added in the motion to be dropped, and my ex-wife found the error. The next version had the wrong amount in the mortgage that was being dropped. And the next version after that had the respondent and the petitioner reversed, so it appeared that my ex-wife would be paying me the $950 child support instead of the other way around (her husband found the error). I am in the bizarre situation of having to explain to my ex-wife and her husband that I am not trying to trick her into losing her child support, but that my lawyer keeps messing up.
