THEY TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND I’VE SPENT ALMOST 2 MONTHS TRYING TO GET IT BACK! If you don’t want you money stolen, go with a different bank!! I’ve been with them for about 10 months and after 7 months they started charging me a $2 fee for paper statements. I had to call to find out what the fee was and when I asked why I being charged this now (because I never received paperwork about a new fee), they stated it’s because they just fixed a glitch in their system and I should have been charge all along and that the fee was in the paperwork (fee schedule) I got when I opened the account. NOT TRUE! I was told if I sign up for no paper statements, I won’t be charge. So, while on the phone with them, I signed up and they reversed the fee. Then they charged me the next month. I called. They claimed it’s an IT problem and they’ll reverse the fee in 1-3 business days. 3 weeks later I called asking why it hasn’t been reversed. They said, they don’t know and will have it refunded in 1- 3 business days. It’s now more than a month after the second call and I call again. They say they have to call the branch that was supposed to reverse the fee; I waited just to be told they need to get back to me since the person is at lunch. I told them, I’ve spent more than a half hour of my time try to get back $2! I asked them to leave a message for the person at lunch, “Give me back my money that was taken without my permission”.

They are not a team of experts. They have a terrible system with poor technology, a system where they are looking to take advantage of you in any way they can. Extremely poor autopay system. Mine cut off and for no reason and when I called, they told me it would be taken care of. They reversed my late fee as I caught it within a week, but they lied when they said they would not report it to my credit score. Once they found out I refinanced with someone else, for a better rate, they reported it and my credit has taken a huge hit. They are just in it for the money, avoid Flagstar Bank unless you like online banking from the stone age and a customer service team who has no idea what they are talking about. For 2 years I used autopay, then magically its not on my account anymore, and then report it as late payment. Bunch of scumbags with a poor product and even worse customer relations.

Flagstaff makes way to many mistakes, and treats their clients disrespectfully. They tell you one thing and when you go to do what the said to do and you find out you were just lied to by a supervisor. When signing new loan papers sent to you they are in a last name you have not used for 3 years and they had 3 copies of the marriage certificate scanned in my file but never changed anything on the account. The underwriters had to redo the whole loan all over. I would not recommend Flagstar Bank to anyone. I Have been put through so many mistakes on their part. You get a different answer each time you call. This is how they treat someone who has made all her payments on Time. Imagine what damage could be done had I not paid everything on time and not done everything asked of me.

I second the idea if I could give them less than one star I would. Our broker gave us to them and I will never use them again. I am currently trying to refinance to get away. they made mistakes allover the board on payments and threaten collections for mistakes there accounting makes. Have fun with them. guy with the legos comment was right. costumer service here is a joke.
