I had the pleasure of being a legal intern at PozoGoldstein during my summers in law school, where I learned an immense amount of lawyering skills from their first class attorneys. Many of the attorneys there are former prosecutors, so they have a profound understanding of how the other side operates. Everyday, the entire firm showed an exemplary effort and devoted all their resources to their clients’ cases, which is evident in the amount of cases won. During my time there, I can recall on many occasions where incredibly difficult cases were won that brought such joy and elation to the clients. We hired the Pozo Goldstein to help us with the immigration status of one of our employees who had gotten into some serious criminal trouble. Steve Goldstein and Marcela Gyires became our dream team of attorneys. The case was complicated and over two years we filed and won two separate appeals to the BIA to win the cancellation of removal we were seeking. Pozo Goldstein deserves all the credit in the world for successfully representing our employee. With determination and hard work they were successful in a situation where very few immigrants are able to win release. Our immigration system is complicated and, from my personal experience, not fast or even fair to those that are detained. Terrible!!!! The worst, once they have your money... there is nothing else of respect left from them to you! The situation got worst at the end of the case, when they assigned this lady (Bibiana) to "help".with the case.. They had helped me in the pass, and it was good before!
