UPDATE: eGumball vs McFarlin LLP. Judgement in favor of eGumball, Inc. We pride ourselves in the good relationships we form with our clients, and we regret the rare instances when relationships deteriorate. In this instance, however, we humbly believe we did everything to help this law firm succeed and yet we believe we were taken advantage of. After servicing this law firm for many months, the firm simply refused to pay for services that we legitimately provided. The law firm then demanded a settlement and threatened to write negative reviews if we did not capitulate. Since we had invested substantial time and money in this client’s account and had not been paid, we sought redress in small claims court. We won a judgment on December 9, 2013. Despite the law firm’s claim that we failed to provide services, in reality we provided local maps optimization services which improved the clients cluster data and places listing. Immediately after we obtained the small claims judgment for $329, this client filed a lawsuit against us in Superior Court. We believe this was filed merely in retaliation for our insistence on being paid for our services like all other clients. It is unfortunate that the law firm has decided to spread this dispute across the internet, but we want the true facts to known.
