What can I say about Julia Simmons but….PHENOMENAL! On my second DUI while still on probation for my first I totaled my car, had a BAC of .24. I was looking at some serious penalties including at least 90 days in jail. I was going through a rough time in my life and was a stay at home mom. Never been to jail, never committed a crime, just your average woman. Julia is supportive but brutally honest. She properly prepared me for the potential consequences without sugar coating things. It was tough to hear but I am grateful that I never had false hopes. I just put my trust in her and did what she said. Before my sentence was decided, I checked myself into 90 day residential treatment. Although it was painful and very difficult to be away from my kids who I had never been without them a day in their life, I was able to focus on myself. I was able to discover my problems with alcohol. I learned more about myself and had more life healing in treatment than I could have ever imagined. I wasn’t sure if the judge would allow the treatment in lieu of jail but I just trusted that it would work out and I was in the best hands possible. Not only did Julia fight for me and get the 90 days residential treatment instead of jail but she was able to get my probation violation vacated. For the probation violation I was supposed to do 96 hours of jail. I didn’t have to do it. She sat in court all day long, put up with judges berating her and stayed…she doesn’t give up. She is incredibly competent and knowledgeable. Also, she fought my DMV hearing and although I did have to serve a hard suspension she got it down to 90 days instead of a year!!! She is a fighter and an amazing woman!!!! I am blessed to know her. I am blessed for all she did for me. Julia, I will be eternally grateful to you!!

Prior to speaking with Julia Simmons, I had spoken with several other attorneys regarding a DMV hearing to reinstate my driving privilege.
