Russ Hymas takes on tough cases and prevails--even over Utah’s largest law firms! Five years ago, I was injured in a convenience store owned by a Texas-based chain. For me to recover, it took three surgeries and 9 painful months. Sadly, the Texas company would not even return my phone calls, so I needed a good attorney. After two attorneys gave up, and three others would not take the case, I found Russ Hymas. Unlike the other attorneys, Russ explained how he would handle the key issues of my case, including the ones that had stymied them. Russ further impressed me by describing how he would use one of the “problem” points as the bedrock of his strategy, which was brilliant, insightful, and proved to be the right approach. Russ Hymas and Jake Lee of Christensen and Hymas worked closely and soon prevailed over attorneys from Utah’s largest law firm. Russ and Jake won my case -- one that no one else would finish, and prepared it so well that the opposition chose not to take a chance with a jury and opted to settle. I have wanted to get back into biking for a while, but the high price for a new bike kept me from buying one for a while. Once I decided to spend the money, I have taken every step to protect by new toy. Well, I thought I had taken every step until I ran into some information from the Christensen Law Firm about insuring your bike. I had had never thought about insuring my bike because I assumed my homeowners insurance would cover it. After checking, I found out that the Christensen Law Firm was right, and that my bike was not covered under my insurance. As they stated, I needed to itemize my bike so that it would be covered if it was stolen. Considering I am planning on competing in some triathlons, where my bike will unattended for portions of the race, I am extremely glad that I ran into this information so that I could take the proper steps to protect my bike.

While searching the Internet for information concerning the new child seat regulations, I came across a blog by the Christensen Law Firm. The information was accurate, concise, and had appropriate sources pointing me to places where I could receive further documentation. Buying a bike is not a simple decision. There are many things to consider. Where will you be riding? Are you training or competing? How durable will it be? What is the maintenance going to cost you? And most of all what will the impact on your wallet be? I can’t imagine after saving, researching, and then purchasing “the bike” for you not insuring your investment. We insure other recreation equipment without thinking about it, insuring your bike should be every bit as important as insuring your car.
