This FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION HAS NO COMPASSION FOR ITS CUSTOMERS. I hold a savings account with first service credit union. I went there today too deposit a check into my savings account. But this check was not accepted because it is a third party check. The check is made out to my mother who was present. This check was issued from an insurance company. A little more information on my situation is my family and I were recently victims in a vehicle accident involving a drunk driver this includes my 2 infant daughters. I had purchased the vehicle that was totaled from my mother but we had not transferred the title. This is the reason the check was not issued to me. At the credit union I was told that it is up to the managers discretion if the check could be accepted. I am still wondering what the reasoning is, as to why my situation does not fall into one that the manager would see acceptable. This FIRST SERVICE CREDIT UNION HAS NO COMPASSION FOR ITS CUSTOMERS. There current slogan is BANK LIKE YOU OWN THE PLACE. This is a JOKE!!!! My employer endorses this credit union. I will be telling them and all of my co-workers about this experience. Hopefully they will find another credit union. I know i will definitely be pushing for them too. A tip that I can give you is to train your managers to take into account your loyal clients situations and needs.

They charge for everything. They have a service called courtesy pay, which, come on, it comes helpful when times get rough and I do understand that if they pay money that you dont have on your account, it is completely understandable that you get charge the $30 fee. But, charging $30 when they dont pay the transaction and they return the paymt for insufficient funds, I think it is outrageous, because not only you get charged the $25- $35 returned check fee from your payee, but you get charged $30 from the credit union as well.

Customer service was a joke! I went in because they offer fresh start accounts and due to the fact that my abuser destroyed my credit I thought this would be a good idea in order to stash away money so I could finally leave him. BUT, boy was I wrong. The people here had no compassion. I had the opening deposit plus some and the manager still denied me. O, well I went to First Community Credit Union and they opened me a checking and savings and I even got my debit card at the same time. Now waiting in the mail.

I always get excellent service here and at the other branches as well. i think the FSCU is the best. I am a somewhat critical person. I went to open a second account and this Rep, Hispanic guy, was more interested in telling me why I should not get a second account than attending to my second account. He got me really upset, gave me inaccurate information, wrote the wrong account number on my card and was just an idiot. That was an exception, I always get excellent service with these people.

Kristen is an amazing manager, she helped me out with a loan that I thought I would never be able to get from another bank. She is very prompt with calling back when you leave a message and she takes her time in helping you resolve all your banking needs. I give them 5 stars.

The Cypress location is ok with customer service but the Edgebrook location has terrible customer service. The bank as a whole is never willing to answer questions and make you feel like you are bothering them. I hate this bank!
