1.0 star rating 8/5/2016 Used to praise this place highly but something has changed. Rex was the counterman and in my opinion is more of a used car salesman. He talks fast, pressures you to follow his recommendations and documents things he did not discuss. You would be better off avoiding his help. Think he works at a different AAA now. They left my vehicle unlocked on the lot for days. Why, THEY LOST MY KEYS! They did not tell me this for days. They did no repair work on the vehicle for the first week they had it. Kept vehicle for 17 days. They did a poor job of calling me and keeping me informed of progress or lack of progress. I recommend you look elsewhere for car care needs. David is the only one there who seemed concerned and apologetic

I used to go there and they always tried to show that you have many other problems in your car. If you are knowledgeable, you can avoid those. They said my timing belt will fail two years ago and I needed to fix it immediately. I am still driving without a problem. After they recovered from fire, they are now desperate for business. So I understand the sentiment of the other reviewer that they are probably trying to rip-off people even more. BTW, they are not very efficient in complicated services and therefore should be avoided. Oil change might be ok and just need to say "no" to everything they say. Then go to a better mechanic like Mr. Zeagler on rosewood drive.

We broke down while weekend traveling. AAA membership recommends these car centers. They gouged us on labor costs, badly. They knew we needed to get back home before Monday, and took major advantage of us. $429 for spark plugs. $350 for another job that should have been under $100. Anywhere else we would have paid under $500 total, especially at our trusted home mechanic, and internet estimators confirmed that amount. But we paid over $1100. Labor costs were triple what they should have been. The lack of integrity was astounding. Nothing we could have done, our car was broken down, and it was a Saturday, out of our home town.

My wife took our 2002 Grand Cherokee in for an alignment. She was told to do the alignment they had to replace all four coil springs, the shocks, upper and lower control arms front and rear as well as the tie rod ends. All in all this totaled to $3200. I took the Jeep to another shop where they informed me that the alignment was not far enough out to even worry about. They rolled it back off the rack and told me to have a good day for $0. This is the classic case of a mechanic trying to take advantage of someone. Avoid this shop!

I will never ever seek car care with AAA again. The manager was rude when I questioned his determination of what was wrong with my car and then he said that if I disagreed with him, I could go somewhere else. I did. When I called the district manager, although he showed concern, he never followed up with me as promised. I know that my car problem was difficult to diagnose, however, the garage I took it to finally fixed the problem without costing me an arm and a leg.

PSA: This is a picture of CV AXLE boot that was cut intentionally, so that AAA service center on Forest Drive in Columbia, SC, could charge to repair it. This boot on this Car was inspected by myself while doing a Brake Job, this was not there 2 weeks prior. If you look closely you can tell a sharp object was used to cut it. CV Axle boots do not tear at the top typically, they tear down in the groove at the weakest point. The car was only there for an OIL Change.

These people are crooks. I have Triple AAA roadside assistance which is fantastic but this place will try to take you for every penny you have. Got my car towed as a precaution since my oil light was on and they told me I would need a completely new engine.... They said labor would take 18 hours and would cost about 5 grand! Triple AAA will try and convince you to take your car here for a discount if you are already a member but dont do it. Get a second opinion.

Not very happy... Daughter who is in school took her car for a front brake job. Was quoted $94 for front pads, $289 for front rotors, and $99 for a brake flush... This is an Altima- not a high performance car. Looking at Autozone a set of pads is about $30-40 and a set of rotors is approx $120 (front axle only). The job is about 1 hour so they are charging an outrageous labor rate. Will not come to AAA again.

I highly recommend this AAA Auto facility. They do good work and only the work that is required. And they do this at a fair price. I drive over 50 miles round trip to get my car serviced there. Deal with Dave if you can. very honest

Nice people. Were willing to work on the car relatively quickly. Their price was just way too high compared to my home mechanic for an alternator repair. About twice as much. Just be consumer smart when getting your car fixed here.
