This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Just when I needed coverage the most, they denied it without explanation. The other reviews are correct, this is nothing but a scam. Originally, I had to have some transmission work done on my 2007 Mazdaspeed 6. Since the dealership had neglected to report this damage to GWC, the portion that would have been covered was not, but when I called, they promised that they would review the claim retroactively. That promise was a lie; they never did so and informed me when I called several days later that they would not cover it under any circumstances. The second claim occurred a few weeks later when my car started having engine trouble. The dealership could not find any issues through electronic diagnostics, and suggested rebuilding or replacing the engine. GWC’s adjuster told them they would have to tear down the engine to approve a replacement, which would cost me about $1500 that would not be covered, however the cost of a new engine is over $6000, so I approved it. After performing a total teardown and having three claims adjusters come to the dealership to inspect it, each of whom insisted on further teardown, they summarily denied my claim citing “normal wear”. One of the cylinders showed 70% leak down, and they consider that normal wear?! “Matt” the adjuster claimed that the dealership “could not show cause of failure” even though they had repeatedly done so. In an effort to defraud me, Matt chose simply to ignore the evidence of failure and summarily deny my claim without explanation. At this point I have been without my car for two months, and have had no repair work done yet. Now, they are not returning my dealership’s phone calls. This company has got to be one of the worst in history. When I call, I usually end up waiting on hold for upwards of 30 minutes. The staff are smug and arrogant, and so far they have been anything but helpful. At this point, I have no alternative other than to file a lawsuit, and report this fraudulent activity to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs, and the PA Office of the Attorney General. I strongly advise anyone else who has been victimized by this company to do the same. With enough voices of cheated consumers, they can and will be shut down permanently.

We purchased a truck with a warranty on it from GWC. Over the course of the past year there has been very very few miles placed on the vehicle ( less than 10,000). We had to have the EGR replaced very soon after purchase which was covered by the company we purchased the car from and that was the last of the easy stuff with the truck. We wanted the exclusionary package and was given the essentials package which is supposed to cover diagnostics. It says it right in their brochure. Even setting aside that we were suppose to have the exclusionary, the essentials says it is supposed to cover the diagnostics. Now the truck has several issues and we were provided NO assistance in finding a shop to fix it. I finally called a Ford dealership who assured me they had dealt with these warranties for many years. Long story short, here we are with a $3000 bill to just get the truck fixed, plus a $217 diagnostics bill. I even discussed upgrading the plan to have the exclusionary since that was what we were suppose to have to begin with but that cant happen until we cover the bill on what should have been covered in the first place. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!

Rip off! I have attempted to use the powertrain plus warranty that I purchased from this company and it seems as though they will use any excuse to avoid paying for repairs. I brought my truck to the shop that was recommended by GWC with a rear differential leak and an exhaust manifold leak which if you look at the paperwork for this warranty appear to be things that would be covered. I was then informed that the differential leak was not covered because it was due to a rust pinhole in the cover which some would think would be covered as part of the housing but apparently not. Then I was informed that the exhaust manifold leak was not covered as it was due to a broken stud which one would think would be covered as the paperwork says it covers the exhaust manifold and also says it covers hardware and gaskets for covered repairs. Wrong again I was informed that because the problem was with a broken stud and not the manifold itself it is not covered. I was also told I would have to pay for diagnostics out of pocket because there were no covered repairs.

I have been in the car business since 1993 and have used GWC Warranty Company almost as long. I have inside experience with probably over 20 companies in the business of providing service contracts for vehicles and I have never found a better company to do business with. Professional in every way. I have seen them pay tens of thousands of dollars in claims just on cars I have personally sold. I have seen them make exceptions and cover items not covered just to help out a dealer partner with a customer complaint. Customers with auto repair problems are never happy. They often feel that the repair should have been covered by the warranty company and it is not because they purchased a plan that does not cover everything. There are many levels of coverage and the people selling these plans sometimes misrepresent them but, this company ALWAYS pays a repair when it is a covered item under one of their service contracts.

This is my second warranty with this company. Their catch phrase "No worries, Just drive" does not bring me any comfort. Only worry. When filing claims I have experienced nothing but poor and rude customer service, false statements, and attempts to wiggle their way out of their obligations to pay claims. The vast array of parts within a system that they refuse to pay for is unbelievable. Recently I was told that I actually paid a charge of 200.00 for informing them that I have a lift kit on my truck. Like I need to pay for the chose of having it in the first place. Will never use this company again and have already told several friends and will continue to tell all those who will listen to avoid them.

They do not cover the actual cost of your repair, they allow lower pricing for parts and labor then any actual repair costs. Do not waste your money, you will end up responsible for hundreds of dollars more than your deductible. I am EXTREMELY CLEAR on my contract. When the parts cost a certain amount and the warranty company allows less than what the mechanic can find them for the warranty company should be responsible for providing the parts, which I was told GWC would do but when my mechanic called for the parts they and won’t provide the mechanic with the parts they refused.

This is a total scam. I paid for 2 years contract. with GWC and I filed a claim. They sent an inspector 2 times. The inspector saw what was wrong with the car and explained his report to GWC. When I Called GWC, they said mechanic needs to open entire engine and see what was wrong in particular parts and refused to take responsibility to pay for the parts and labor. This is total SCAM. When I called, no one answered. I left messages and they dont return phone call. I understand that this is insurance company. DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY. Unless you wanna throw money away.

Terrible experience dealing with them they did not want to cover for oem parts gave the dealership a hard time gave the transmission repair shop a hard time the inspector Steve never got back to us not until four days after the fact once we complained about they have this big glossy advertisement of all highlights on what they cover but read the fine print and you soon discover how deceptive they are so sorry we purchased a warranty from never again when it was all said and done we were out 500 dollars out of pocket

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A SCAM. We bought coverage for our Nissan Murano after being told we would have bumper to bumper coverage. Turns out the coverage we had purchased covered basically nothing. They said they only cover engine issues. Later on we did have issue with the engine and they told us that it was actually only things "inside" the engine. They keep changing their minds and the contract we signed had NO exclusions. Horrible experience that ended up costing us so much more money.

My experience with this claim was very professional, and really fast! I called GWC Warranty the next morning to see if the part I needed was covered! The claim rep Vince gave me all the info I needed, and directed me to call my auto mechanic shop! They in turn started the claim with GWC, and my car was repaired the next day! Even one of the auto mechanic guys said that I did a great job choosing that warranty! So thank you GWC!!!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I WAS TOLD THAT MY REPAIRS WAS COVERED BY GWC I GET TO THE REPAIR SHOP I HAD TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT. SO AFTERWARDS THEY FINALLY EMAIL THE CONTRACT TO ME WHICH I NEVER RECIEVED UNTIL THE INCIDENT. THE TOWING IS EVEN MORE BS UP TO 10 MILES IVE CAME OUT OF SO MUCH MONEY FROM TOWING OVER 10 MILES JUST TOTAL BS. IF I WAS YOU I WOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM GWC THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED !!!!!!

Inexperience dealers sell their products and leave out many important details. When you call in they just tell you, "You should have read the contract being the consumer". Never again will I purchase their product because after all the money you spend getting coverage. You still have to pay deductibles which should have been a red flag for me. Lesson learned and I hope others can read these reviews and not the contract.

Just wanted to give a huge thank you to GWC and my awesome rep Cynthia Bodden. GWC is a great warranty company who pays claims. I have been in the car business for 18 years and have had some upset customers when they have purchased warranties and the warranty company did not pay for a repair when a repair was needed. GWC has great customer service and an awesome product that they offer to dealers and customers.

I recently bought a 2003 grand Cherokee and purchased a warranty from the dealer. Within 2 months my AC compressor failed. I called GWC and they directed me to a local mechanic. The mechanic called me the next day and said he already talked to GWC and they authorized the repair. Thank god I purchased the warranty, otherwise I would have been out $956 or sweating while riding with the windows down all summer.

Bought the extended warranty when I purchased my car in May 2016. A few months after owning the vehicle, I have had to use the warranty on multiple occasions. I have experienced great coverage, and no questions on the repairs. They have covered everything! I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of the coverage and top notch service which I have experienced with GWC. Thank you!
