I wish I could give Evergreen zero stars. I have been on the phone, trying to contact representatives over and over again and I keep getting the run-around. My account is occasionally paid-up, occasionally "inactive" (according to their infuriatingly awful website that looks like each section was made by 4 different design teams), and I just got a bill in the mail saying that I owed for February and March despite auto-withdrawals. The person I spoke to said, QUOTE, "Oh this is weird, you are all paid up according to our system" and when I asked how this mix-up could happen then, she said QUOTE, "Yes, we had many problems in March..." and that, QUOTE, my "account is all messed up." She actually said my account was "all messed up". I laughed, it was such an unbelievably incompetent thing to say. What soaring confidence this bullshit inspires!! I have sent so many emails and made so many calls just trying to figure this out that I have to wonder if this company is even real. They operate like a 2D stage play with nothing at all behind the prop scenery facades. Feels like a scam, operates like a scam, and all this and I still have not even been able to make use of this insurance and get to a doctor because I am suddenly "not covered" arbitrarily. Given the tidal wave of complaints against them, it sounds like EVERY ONE of their customers is going through the same horrible gauntlet. They are egregiously terrible. If you are thinking about Evergreen, stop. Stop thinking about them. Just turn and run away.

Leaving the review for my fiance. This health insurance is highly unqualified and not up to the par standards set by companies like CareFirst. There is no coverage provided for urgent care. Why make the member go to the ED un-necessarily? There are so few in network providers and calling to find one gets laughs from provider offices. Getting radiolgy studies is ridiculously over complicated and the customer service is laughable. His employer knows someone at the company and therefore is stuck with the horrid company. Visiting the headquarters will tell you where your money is going. Having a company started by a non-medical professional and someone without actual medical business experience is the dumbest business start up idea. Money is all they see and the company is an unfortunant side effect of the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Went on appointment straight from emergency room as my 6 year old son needed immediate follow up with a doctor for a broken arm. Turn out they made a wrong time for an appointment. Also turn out they even did not have the service we needed. Why bother making appointment then?. But the worst part was a a treatment you receive from receptionist at the front desk who smurked unprofessionally and disgusted at my required documentations of unemployment proof and low income which i have provided sufficiently. The lady at the front desk was highly unprofessional to treat new patience like she did .At the end all the services being denied for my 6 year old son who had an emergency refferal .Way to go MANASSAS VA LOCATION !!!!!

I’ve had Evergreen for about six months now and am continuously surprised by what a terrible job they can manage to accomplish. At the beginning of the year, they changed everyone’s insurance card and number without actually sending out that information in advance. I spoke to multiple healthcare providers that stated that it caused a major nightmare for patients and providers as well. There is no one to call outside of business hours to identify what and where is covered. If you have an emergency, enjoy researching the right hospital to go to or hope that you go to the right one and are adequately covered.

I have had the garbage insurance for over a year now. I ought to go without and take the fine from the government for not having insurance. Would cost me less and i would have extra money to go to the dr. If your company is tginking about taking this insurance they better think twice. What insurance co doesnt cover MRI. This one dont you have to pay for the MRI up front then maybe just maybe they will cover about 10 dollars of it. Its a straight waste of money. You pay alot and only get screwed in the end.

What a joke customer service is. I have been trying to settle a claim fully paid for back in June. Sent claim in 2 times through the mail and twice digitally, still not in claims and yet NO PHONE NUMBER for a claims rep. Settle the claim or deny it...tell me something!! What a Joke. Pick another Provider!!! Still not reimbured 4 months later

Too few people know that Evergreen Coop utilizes the Beacon Health (Value Options) commercial network for outpatient mental health care. This means that they have a much larger potential network of therapists than they would otherwise. Their mental health therapists are paid fairly and Beacon/VO does a decent job of administering the benefits.

This is the worst insurance ever. Prescriptions that are on the approved list are not approved. Doctors on the provider list are not covered. Glad I pay a lot of money for no coverage.
