It continues to amaze me that a company as large as Anthem operates with such poor customer service. That is, when you can actually get someone on the phone. I have been on hold for over an hour waiting to talk to a customer service representative and then been hung up on in the middle of a conversation. Or when I call at 3:00PM MST and told that I have reached them outside of their business hours (7:00AM-5:00PM PST)....

Horrible service I spent 2 hours on the phone, transferred 5 times and after that there customer service manager Joe was extremely difficult and rude. He would not give me his last name or employee number. I asked to speak with his supervisor. He just transferred me to another number. This was the worst experience I have ever had.

Not only did they loose my paperwork resulting in loss of policy but I was put on hold for 50 minutes when trying to cancel the new policy (they automatically put me on) and was then hung up me when I told them that the reason for cancellation was due to horrible customer service.

Poor. Contracted with Acculab for blood tests-which has one location in town and closes at 15:30. So a parent misses work to take a child to the doctor. Then misses work to compensate for limited hours at Acculab. Ultimately, poor service from Anthem.

Embarrassingly poor customer service. I hage never been put on hold for less that 20 minutes when calling, and they are unwilling to communicate properly when you need it. Steer clear.
