I contacted Norman yesterday, based on the positive reviews, and was very pleasantly surprised. First of all, he answered the phone right away, assessed my home project needs, and then followed up exactly at the time he said he would with an email estimate. We schedule a time for him to come today, and when he arrived (exactly at the time he scheduled), I let him know I actually had one more project I needed his help with. Not only did Norman get right to work, but he was extremely careful to ensure everything was to my specification, very clean and organized, and charged me exactly what he had quoted, even though I had one additional project. I would very highly recommend Norman for any project needs around your home, and I will be holding onto his contact information for all of my future needs. Norman really is awesome! :)

We worked with Norman to create a playroom out of an unfinished room on our second floor. Norman installed sheet rock over stucco, painted the sheet rock, recommended an excellent business for carpet installation and then installed the baseboards. He also did miscellaneous tasks around the house, such as patching a hole in the ceiling. We really enjoyed working with Norman - we felt like he really knew his stuff and was honest with us about pricing and options (his pricing was also very reasonable as well, and we got two other quotes for the work). He did the work on a very timely basis and left the area very clean. We will definitely continue to work with Norman as we have projects that we need help with. We are very excited about the playroom that he helped us complete. Thanks, Norman!

We were in need of a handyman so turned to Yelp for some recommendations. We quickly came upon Norman of San Mateo Handyman! We needed a section of drywall patched and an old bathroom sink/faucet swapped out with a new one. Norman is prompt, courteous, and highly thorough in his approach. He requests photos of what you are looking to repair or fix, he then provided an on-site visit to look at the project, and finally provided a detailed explanation, estimated cost, etc of what the scope of the project is. Norman and Ray brought a copper water pipe to my fridge. They also removed a ceiling fan that was hanging over the top of the fridge and install a light. They performed the work on time and reasonable cost. Norman is very through person and ask a lot of questions in email and on the phone about nature of work and location. So people first time working with him should be patient as those little details helps him giving accurate estimate and no surprises. I would definitely recommend him for all the handyman work.

I had a leaky tub faucet. Ray was able to come by on the weekend and take a look at it. Under normal circumstances it should be a simple replacement of some washers. However due to the age of the hardware and a previously botched repair job it took some more work. Ray was able to handle it despite the difficulties. He was also very personable and explained what he was doing clearly. The price was reasonable. I would call them again if I need help in the future.

I contacted San Mateo Hanydyman to remove some old vents in our walls and then patch the holes. Norman Raverty helped us with this project. He was extremely detailed in his approach. The vents were covered by molding so the project was tricky. He was able to remove the vents and patch the walls without damaging the molding. The pricing was very reasonable and Norman was very easy to work with. We will definitely turn to Norman for future home projects.
