I was referred to Ashby Law (Law firm Jennifer LaCoste is associated with) by a former friend. After receiving different counsel in a different county and going through a lot of troublesome situations I decided to give Ashby Law a shot and see if their lawyers could help me out of the legal hole my previous counsel put me in. I was introduced to Jennifer and her Paralegal Anita on Feb 7th when they began the daunting task of fixing my jumbled case. After a 1 hr talk on the phone with Jennifer and Anita i felt that they were the people I needed to run my case. After hiring them on Feb 8th and submitting all documents to them, they gave me the reassurance that with a lot of work having to fix previous counsels mess ups, they could help me achieve the successful case i was supposed to get in the beginning. I appreciated how even though it was daunting and a lot of work they were always available to answer my questions or concerns and also to clarify to me why some statutes and laws were the way they were. They were also always 100% honest about the financial aspect of it which i so greatly appreciate. What i am most grateful for is their compassion and diligence in getting things done in a timely manner. They never once made me feel unsure about the process or what our end goal was. They were, as i noticed with my last counsel never happened, professional and organized. Never made jokes about my case or try to blow off my worries. They treated my son and I like we were family to them and for that i cannot thank them enough. If you are looking for a compassionate, hard-working, driven, determined, organized, legal team PLEASE choose these ladies. They are so so so amazing in every way and i will be recommending them to anyone who mentions to me they need a lawyer for a case like mine. I come has this office without any expectations. Had visited has other offices but none could help me. Every other office nomas interested in money and not my cause, my children, or my right. Ashby Law brought me the support and faith needed in this situation so difficult. From the moment you arrive until you hire the firm as legal representation, they always helped me. All workers and lawyers were very kind and gentle. I could not believe the amount of compassion they showed. They refunded the confiansa he had lost in the legal system. I understand that many people complain of bil, but for me, my children are priceless. Thanks for all your help and patience in my divorce and custody.

I used Ashby law from December of 2016 until February of 2017. My experience with Ashby law was awful. They charged me $7000 in the short month and a half of there services I used and was given wrongful legal advice on multiple occasions. They will have you pay into a trust account and tell you that if your trust account goes below $1500 they will contact you but I was not contacted until my account mysteriously went negative, and that happened on a few occasions. I still have text messages from paralegal Mona Tovar from her personal line of her explaining that my account went negative and the worst part being, she could never keep that number straight, it kept on going higher and higher even though I requested for them to stop working on my case and gave them no work to do. I have saved all my texting/email conversations with Ashby law in the hopes of getting some of my money back. The folks at Ashby law only want to take your money, they have no idea what they are doing, they never get anything done in a timely manner, and from the 3 appareances I had in court, I was never given the same lawyer for any of my hearings. Take my .02 cents for what they are worth and take your money to a more reputable attorney like Pickett or Kuffel & Shea. Ashby law was a huge waste of money and time for me. They saw me as a young father who was in a desperate part of his life and used that to there full financial advantage.

When I first went into Ashby law, I was looking for help to get my divorce moving. I was so lost, confused, and scared. Jennifer Locoste and Anita Van Unen were my legal team. When I first met with them, I instantly knew that I was in good hands. Jennifer is very sweet, but she also knows how to get down to business and not let people walk all over her. She was constantly reassuring me that it was all going to work out, and that she was going to take care of me. She went to battle for me when I felt like I had no fight left in me. Anita is the best! She was always around when I had questions or concerned. She always kept me in the loop and updated. Anita is very compassionate and always addressed my concerns. I never once felt like I didn’t know what the plan was. They did everything they could to keep things moving, even when they opposing council was not. They were always going above and beyond. I definitely needed them more than I knew, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. They weren’t “just” my legal team though, they stood behind me and supported me, they were always cheering me on. They gave me my life back, and I couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you!

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Ashby law. I came to them in August of 2016 asking for there help filling a parenting plan and had to try and get back any money I could in mid December of 2016. I had Jennifer Lacosta as my lawyer and Alexis Meeks as my paralegal, and nothing was done. I had to visit the office several times for updates and was always told they were going to contact the they party and never did never even filed, but they did charge me $1,100 for a half filled out parenting plan that was never even filled. I had to demand the rest of my retainer that I paid. The people were nice enough but no work was done. There was no communication between the lawyer and paralegal. I was extremely disappointed. The process being pushed back only made it harder. When I got the money they would give me back I was able to go the courthouse and fill for full custody same day. I wish they would have given me all my money back. I feel I was really screwed over and would never recommend them to anyone, and have also considered picketing out side of there office.

I used this firm in my divorce and custody case. Allen Yu (my attorney) and his assistant, Alexis, exceeded my expectations. From the office staff to the legal representation and advice, this firm was incredible. My case was time-sensitive. Mr. Yu saw me the same day I contacted his firm. I was able to meet with him the same day even though he was between hearings and working on multiple cases when I called. He always called me back when he said he would. He took the time to read through each email I sent and formulated a plan very quickly. I was able to settle my divorce case very early on without going to trial, thanks to Allen and his team. Based on his ability to analyze information and strategically formulate an effective plan, I have no doubt he would have been an amazing attorney in a trial setting as well. Thank goodness it did not come to that. I would highly recommend Allen Yu and this firm to friends, family, and anyone who is contemplating divorce or custody proceedings in the area.

I highly recommend Ashby Law! I tried another law firm to painstakingly try to navigate the Benton County Court system with regards to custody of my 3 children. The first firm literally ran me into bankruptcy with a mediocre result! With Glenn, Scott, Kimberly and the team at Ashby Law, we were able to achieve the impossible! I have never experienced such a disorganized mess! They charged us for everything under the sun and provided no explanation when questioned. They would call us Thursday and tell us we owed 2k if they were going to attend court the next day. Seriously?? No invoices or calls regarding this until the day before?? We paid over 9k for a custody and they only attended one court appearance for a temporary order. 9k!!!!! They were so disrespectful and made so many mistakes. Beware! They basically ask u every other day for a good review on Avvo, In my opinion they owe us a large refund for switching paralegals and charging us to tell the new one the entire story again. Then they said they forgot to hit a button to make the invoices visible to us. Hahah are you serious!

I was so impressed with their hard work and passion with their job. I had Zachary as my attorney and he is very friendly, caring, and passionate. I felt like he really listened and helped me understand my situation and choices that needed to be done. Denora was my Paralegal and she did a spectacular job with checking in on me daily, updating me regurlarly, and dedicating herself to get done what was needed in order to progress everything in a nice, steady pace. I hired Kim Powell @ Ashby Law to represent me in my legal separation. From the very first time we met until the closing of my file I felt assured that I was in competent hands. Having very little experience with court procedures I had initially felt overwhelmed but Kim explained the process in a way that I was able to comprehend and squelched any concerns I had. Made all my money disappear, after I told them I wanted the rest of my trust fund and no longer represented. At minimum it was hundreds. Of the $6,000 I got $5 back and I have nothing really to show for it. Only told one thing to have another done. Never did get the itemized bill I requested, or a return phone call after my messages. The beginning they seemed like go getters...then I realized and told them how it was going to roll out if we did not focus on why I hired them. Then sure enough.... VERY DISSATISFIED TO SAY THE LEAST
