We work for you! Speaking as a part of the Academy College family I want to share just a few of the many things that make our school so amazing! We have incredible, dedicated, and real-world experienced instructors who work for you. We maintain small classes so you get personal attention and the applicable skills you’ll need to be competitive! Our school and programs are accredited and licensed by agencies with some of the highest educational standards in the industry such as the FAA, CAAHEB, and ACICS so you won’t need to go anywhere else for your education. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics 80% of our students continue their studies with Academy College. Once you graduate we’ll work with you on finding the perfect place to start or advance your career! That’s why I’m speaking to you, Future Academy College Graduates! I’m incredibly happy to have found Academy College; where I can follow my dreams and begin a lifetime of helping students follow theirs. Our staff, faculty and students are like a big family. Working for Nancy Grazzini-Olson and the rest of the management team here at Academy have been some of the most rewarding experiences in my life! It’s incredibly inspiring to me to work for a college run by a team that is decisive, intelligent, and passionate about our programs and our students. So if you want to be a part of a college that will support your educational and employment goals, keep classes small and focused, and offer one on one tutoring with program leaders so you can secure the career that will inspire you I encourage you to consider Academy College!

I was hired to create a Career Center and laid off two months later because there were no students to place in any jobs. Turnover of employees is very high and most people I worked with had not even been there a year. The faculty is made up entirely of adjuncts with no permanent core faculty or academic board to advise and lead. Outside of aviation, many students seem to be academically lacking (judging from their resumes) from students graduating from similar programs at other colleges. Even the Education Director seemed to be actively looking for other positions as several times she unknowingly sent me emails on the company server for other Education Director position postings. They now have no Career Services Center and nobody there who has any professional experience in resume writing, by their own admission. The owner makes you sign a non-compete agreement barring you from working at any other college in the area for one year after leaving, even if they terminate you. There is no 401K company match for employees, barely any PTO time and the pay is below average for the market. I have been in education for over ten years and I have never seen a school more poorly managed than Academy College. I would be shocked if they are still in business a year from now.

We give back! The employees of Academy College & Thunderbird Aviation all work for a common goal - working hard and giving back to its students and customers. The philosophy of working hard and giving back is instilled from the top-down within these companies; Nancy Grazzini-Olson, owner is one of the most hard working, dedicated individuals I have ever worked for. Her vision, support and enthusiasm in the aviation industry is of one to be admired. I worked for Nancy from 1995 - 1999, and am proud to be back working for her again - part of a great team working to give back!

I had a really great time there I had a few ups and downs and they helped me out and made sure I was ok with were I was at and they also knew my first name not like some other big schools. Also Amber the MA instructor is one of the best people there she helps with career services and make sure you get placed in your externship clinic. Katie is also great she is the person to talk to if you have any questions and she can make you laugh. So over all academy college is a great place to go to.

Loved the small class sizes and one on one experince with my instructors throughout my courses here. Katie with student affairs is by far the best person around, super helpful and caring with whatever the situation is. Small campus makes it easy to navigate and find classes. Instructors are patient and willing to spend extra time with their students.

I graduated from the flight program about 3 years ago. Since then I have been a flight instructor and have been offered my first job at a Regional Airline! For me, this school was great! I wouldnt have this career I love without my years at Academy. Great instructors... made me work hard but it was worth it!

This company is completely disinterested in providing a quality education. They are simply looking to make as much money off of your tuition as possible and kick you out into the world with a worthless degree. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. I refuse to call it a school.

The faculty and office staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to get me into the classes I needed to graduate. Every one was very friendly and genuinely cared about helping me attain a degree. I will miss working with them!

Very good experince in the Computer Science program. Instructors took the time to teach and adjust lessons according to class knowledgebase. Administration staff was more than helpful and facility was very well managed.
