Diane was an answer to our prayers. Due to substance abuse, my husband and I placed our children into the temporary custody of my mother. We got clean, did everything asked of us by DFCS and when we went to the courts to try and get our children back, we were denied custody because to our horror, the temporary custody hired a local Carrollton lawyer to fight us from getting our children back. We felt as if we hit a brick wall every turn we made. After mediation, the temporary guardian still refused to work with us. Because of substance abuse, my husband and I felt that we were immediately judged by everyone. We had even had a consultation with a Carrollton lawyer before hiring Dee and because of the details of our situation, he pretty much told us we were going to be fighting a really hard battle and that "only 3% of parents ever get their children back after substance abuse." Dee, on the other hand, heard our story and listened to us. She made our case very personal to her and it felt so good to finally have someone on our side. She and her assistant, Jesse, fought very hard for us and assured us from day one that we would get our children back.....and she made it happen! Dee became more than just my lawyer, she became a friend. I not once felt like I was "just another client". I will forever be in debt to her for helping us get our family back together. I will absolutely recommend her office to any and everyone that is ever in need of a dedicated, faithful, honest and family oriented lawyer.

I am so thankful to have met Diane M. Sternlieb (Dee) and her staff (Jessie and Abby)! They were the most honest, professional, experienced, responsive, and hard-working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I met with four other lawyers prior to meeting with Dee and all of them told me the odds were against me regarding child custody, child support, equity distribution, etc. As soon as I walked into Dee’s law office, I knew she would be the one to represent me in my divorce case. I told her my story and she was very honest with me upfront. She immediately had a plan in place and took me under her wing like I was family. I would recommend anyone to Dee and her staff when it comes to family law. My children mean the world to me and if it is one thing on this earth that I would fight for, it would be them. I trusted Dee with this challenge in my life and she did everything in her power to make it happen. She will be my family lawyer and friend for life!
