I enjoyed your article. It is full of valuable information. I am 77 years of age and drawing full benefits from social security and continue to work on commission selling Jan/San products. I will have a knee replaced at the end of May, 2017. Due to this event and other health issues I am considering retiring. Are there any benefits to claiming disability, even tax benefits? Cheers with best regards, H. Stan Berry

I really do think its bullcrap.when a elderly person retires and get a check for retirement.then becomes disabled by there doctors saying that elderly person is disabled an not just saying it but putting on paper in the system and data base..an still that elderly human being cannot recieve more benefits...Thats truly bull....IM SPEAKINK ON MY GRANDFATHER BEHALF.

Your website answered all my questions and gave me the information I needed to hopefully start my own claim in North Carolina. Your website also eliminated by preconceived notions about the money a person can have affecting a disability claim. This site is now a favorite on my iPad.

I have a 8 year old daughter and myself. I am applying for disability. Right now I work but can work enough hours and I will have to quit due to my disabilities. How much do you think I can receive? Do you think it will be enough to live off of. Put can I get anything for my child?

Hi i have been on SSI since 2012 due to the fact I have neuropathy and restless leg and limb disease. I have been told that I may be entitled to get medicare disability. I have tried talking to SSI about this and have gotten no where. Any advise for me, thinking I need a lawyer.

Hi! I live in Mass. and am on SSDI. Is there a limit on how much I can have in my checking account balance. Does that affect my SSDI payments each month?
