I was contacted via several months ago from a previous employee that worked in this company as the authorization dept manager by the name of Guy (not sure if that is his real name) and was informed by him not to purchase ANY warranty from this scam company. After being harassed on a weekly basis by the sales dept, i decided enough is enough and reveal the reason I will not do business with Total Home Shield. The owner of the company is David Seruya who goes by a fake name of David Johnson. The main and ONLY office is located in NJ but uses a mailing address in Philadelphia, PA because the Attorney General doesn’t allow him to have a business in NJ without there consent. This is not David Seruya’s first home warranty, nor second. This is his THIRD COMPANY...He is a former owner with Choice Home Warranty and National Home Protection. National Home Protection was shut down by New York’s former Attorney General/ Governer Andrew Cuomo for the same scam David Seruya did back then! Save your money and get a better warranty such as AHS. Its a little more pricey but you pay for what you get!

Do not believe the website info. They DO NOT have 24/7 365 customer service. Its Mon-Friday 9-7. They are probably open 24 hours if you are BUYING from them but once you need service you have to wait til normal business hours. You can not file a claim online nor check the status of one. When calling be prepared to stay on the line 15 minutes before they assist you. Took over a week, & 3-4 phone calls to Total Home Protection to get someone out to look at my AC.

It took 2 trips to complete the repair of my a/c, however, tech stayed on the case, kept in contact, and completed the service satisfactorily. The a/c has been working fine!

They declined to fix or replace my refrigerator after 3 times of repairs in 3 months. The reason is "the refrigerator has no good maintenance".

They use an email service that bombards people with junk/spam, 60-70 a day and you can’t unsubscribe, absolute scam company, DO NOT USE.

Do not deal with this company. I have been without heat for 5 days in the winter and I still have no technical to fix my heater.
