I wish I would have taken the time to look at reviews before signing up for Bank of Americas Clover Merchant Services. Choose QUICKBOOKS GOPAYMENT! They are the MOST professional and LEAST expensive credit card processing company out there! I switched from quickbooks to bank of america because I was persuaded that they had even lower rates..They absolutly do NOT have lower rates! There are so many hidden fees each month that you can never determine what your bill will be. Also, I closed my account 2 months ago, and now they sent me a bill for $109 saying that Visa forgot to charge the account so now we owe this money. FYI that is what prompted this review, so bad call on your part. I was so fed up with using Clover after less than 2 months because their fees were so high, so unpredictable, and their customer service absolutely stinks! I will never switch from quickbooks again - our fees are literally HALF of what we paid with bank of america. Not only that, but it was a HUGE headache switching back to quickbooks and closing the bank of america accounts. A company that I was told would be way less expensive actually wasted hundreds of dollars finding out the hard way that they were actually double the price.

Bank of America Merchant Services is a scam and will cost you time and money. Using this awful service has cost me time, money, and business. Bank of America Merchant Services was a huge mistake and cost my company thousands of dollars, in addition, they retroactively set up my account with Clover Card Readers company, which turned out to be the worst experience I have had in business. The support is horrible, there are hidden fees, and they do everything possible to screw you. Using BofA and Clover was the biggest mistake my company made this year. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Considering a lawsuit against BofA because of the merchant services they pushed on me at the bank. I have had a good relationship with BofA for years, and through their criminal merchant services they have singlehandedly ruined any trust.

Merchant services has to be the worst business in the banking business. I have had the same problem with them since December with my credit card machine and this is now May 1st and the problem continues. They have sent me 4 machines and NONE of them have worked. I am not able to get paid from my customers because the machine does not work, but however Merchant Services and First DATA are still getting paid their fees. This is a bunch of crap. I have not been treat with respect and nothing has been fixed. I am telling all my friends NOT to use them and Bank of America. The word SORRY coming from them means nothing.

Never sign up for their service. They steel money from their clients. I had so many problems with them. Once you give them your routing number and account number they will start charge you monthly fees. There is no way to block them from doing so. I never ran a single transaction through them and never activated my service. At the end I spent about $1000 for the fees plus $500 at the end for cancellation fee with they told me does not exist. Bank of America Merchant service is a SCAM. Save yourself your time and nerves - do not give them any information. Do not even talk to them!

BAMS is expensive and unprofessional. BOA fees were as represented but pass-through gateway fees were outrageous, it cost me $125.18 for about 30 test authorizations during setup and 1 production credit card transaction. Since my single credit card transaction exceeded my highest order ever, BAMS security cancelled my merchant services account without notifying me. After over a week of no online sales I called about by billing only to find out then that they had cancelled my account. I do not recommend their services.

These Guys are Crooks. They have a Ring of Scams with there Parent Company Bank Of America. They keep trying to get money from My Account that I believe should have been closed. Instead I received at least 20 $35 fees in the last month for not using the service. Sick Bastards!!! We need to get together and get a Class Action Suit going with these Maniacs. Bank of America has already settled 410 Million for Similar Practices 2013.

Very disappointing. Did a large credit card transaction on Wednesday, still waiting on the money the following Monday. Four phone calls to get the money released. When I was on the phone, the rep did not know the phone number for their own security department, transferred me to a sex line by accident. When I got to the security people, they could not look my business up by name. What a sad freak show. Do not recommend.

This is a horrible and expensive service. If i could give less than one star i would. They just charged me $500 without my permission from my checking due to inactivity. I had no idea they switched to clover, i called looking for help and support , but never got, just bad customer service, then they do this to me. Do yourself a favor and use the square. I regret ever doing this and so does my wallet.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Do not use this company. They upped my "Non Qualified Rate" to 5.5%!!!!!!!!!!! Because I do all of my transactions non-keyed, which when I signed up with them the contract states ALL of my transactions will be non keyed. They just take money out of your account as well. HORRIBLE. Was just on the phone with them for 59 minutes and not one thing was resolved.

Stay away please, I am so disscusted with their fees they will lie to you from the beginning that they offer low fees and transaction rates and then start killing your business by raising the fees and transaction fees without notifying you. Be careful signing their contract. I made a huge mistake going with Bank of America merchant services.

They charge a premium price for their service but do nothing to justify the cost. They are very hands on when they are working to get you signed up for a multiple year contract and then are gone when you need them. For small business owners there are more cost effective merchant Services available who care about your business.

DO NOT USE THEM!! I am a non for profit. I was told I would pay $99.00 in set up fees and then $16.00 a month. That was three months ago and they have charged me close to $800.00 in fees when we have only made $300.00 in credit cards. They will not refund the fees because "I did not read the fine print of the contract."
