I have made several poor choices over the course of my life, but choosing the Richard West Law Office to handle my Bankruptcy was one of the wisest. How and Why this Registered Nurse managed to get himself into such a financial quagmire is a convoluted story that has little relevance to this review. What is important is that when I hit rock bottom and was finally ready to climb out, I knew I could not get back on my feet with ~$35,000 of credit card debt, unpaid bills, taxes owed on my foreclosed home and collection agencies breathing down my neck. When I first consulted (at no cost to me) with attorney West almost 2 years ago, we developed a plan and decided bankruptcy was not an option. My circumstances changed over time for the worse and I returned this last April. In every visit I was treated by Mr West and his staff with the utmost respect and educated but not judged for my poor financial choices. I think what initially inspired me to choose West Law Office was the focus on how to reestablish my credit after the Bankruptcy. As I understand it, almost any attorney can file and manage a straight forward Bankruptcy case but only a few help their clients to learn to responsibly manage their credit after the fact. Thanks to the great support and handling of my case by the very knowledgeable staff member assigned to help me through the process, the filing and hearing went very smoothly. I just started a new job and have the tools & knowledge I need to make me a responsible credit user. I have the opportunity to start all over fresh and could not be at this point, had it not been for Richard West and his staff. Thanks Rick!

I had been out of work and unable to pay my bills. It was embarrassing and very humiliating. I received a letter from Mr. West, I called him and he was very caring and helpful along with his staff. He walked me through the process of all I had to deal with. He talked to me as a person and never down to me. He never once made me feel bad about my situation. He made me feel more secure about being able to answer my phone with no worries. He stopped the harassing phone calls. He was available for me to talk to with any worries or concerns I had. He was there through the whole process along with his wonderful staff. Even today I can call with any concerns and they are there to take my calls and answer any questions I have . My wife and I filled for bankruptcy in 2008 with the help of West & Associates. Mr. West told us in our initial consultation that if we followed his advice and stuck to a plan we could rebuild our credit to a better state than it was before we filled. Though skeptical my wife and I worked hard on things like paying bills on time or early and building our credit little by little. By doing things like this and learning from past mistakes we were able to pay off our bankruptcy a year early and raised our credit score to just under 700 points. That is a 200 point difference from our score prior to getting help from West & Associates. We were also able to buy a new car 6 months after discharge with a very low interest rate. So when people tell you that filling will ruin your credit forever it just isn’t true.

Mr. West has been wonderful since the first time I talked to him on the phone. He was understanding, and helped make our difficult bankruptcy easier. He took our case on, when no one else would even return my phone calls. And I liked that I talked to him personally on the phone, even before he agreed to take the case. I did not seek services with this company. During my evaluation/phone consultation, I felt the credit counselor was very combative and not empathetic at all. Financial problems and burdens are a very sensitive subject and vulnerable position to be in. This law office sends emails with videos on how sensitive and caring they are and the credit counselor came off very rude. That is not how you gain trust.
