In July 2014 I was contacted by First American Home Buyers Protection where they explained that if I purchased a home warranty with them they will cover my entire house and fix or replace anything that breaks in the house including all electronics, AC Etc.... I was charged $55.00 per month for the last 3 years when my air condition unit stopped cooling the house in the beginning of May 2017 I contacted them on 5/6/2017 and filled a claim by phone to fix my unit. From May 6/2017 until May 26/2017 they sent 2 different contractors which they failed to fix my AC I had to leave my job 4 times in that period in order to meet them hoping to resolve the problem and I had to call them at least twice a day to try to find out how can I get my AC fixed taking into consideration that temperatures was above 100 degrees where i have a family and 4 animals that lives at the house, but when the 2nd contractor found that the unit need to be replaced they started playing games and giving me the run around. Since my unit was not fixed and the house was too hot to live in on May 26/2017 I contacted them again and requested to cancel my contract since they failed to provide the services they promised and they asked to send an email with that request which I did in the same day and they acknowledged that they received my request which included to stop charging my credit card and requested a refund. On May 31 I was forced to replace the AC unit . On June 4/2017 my credit card was charged again for the monthly fee.

Went 17 days and 2 contractors to replace a 21 yr old central A/C unit after constant badgering of First American. The final result is we had to pay $660 additionally of which $315 was covered in writing contracturally and they supported the contractor, A Team of Phoenix. The first contractor (L&S A/C )was even worse in their fees and padding of additional fees. Now First American will not return phone calls. Avoid this company at all costs. Research a new warranty company as competitors give you more bang for your buck and by all means avoid First American Home Buyers Protection!

I had contacted them for AC problems since we have a warranty. They sent a company that all they wanted to do was fill the AC with freon, I advised them we had previously contacted another AC company and they had advised us that we had a leak. The technician then advised we did have a leak (but he never actually checked it) and said he would just fill it with freon when it runs out!!! I called first american home warranty to try to get a different company and they advised no!!!! What is the point of having warranty if they are not going to fix the problem!!!

Oh yes, this company totally sucks. I placed a claim on a rental property I own in Orlando in late July of this year. It took them nine days to repair the air conditioner. I spent hours on hold, and even got hung up on. They never responded to any of the emails I placed on their website, supposedly for faster service. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. This company actually cost me money as I had to put my tenants up in a hotel. I will never use this company again.

Horrible company thank God we have only had them for a year, first our ac unit stopped and NO ONE EVER CAME OUT. We had to fix it ourselves glad it was something minor. Then our water heater went out and they want us to pay $210 of the expenses because the water lines are different on the new heater. The called this modifications and not basic install. HORRIBLE COMPANY DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO STARS IS MORE LIKE THE RATING

They are. the worse and not trust worthy. I am trying for several months to cancel my warranty and they keep jerking me around. They have cost me so much money for nothing. The worse warranty company that I had dealt with.
